D&D Session: Winery Siege Against the Needle Blights ###### Action Items

  • [ ] Brainstorm specific combat situations, moods, and intensity levels needed for the D&D music system
  • [ ] Music producer to build a dynamic D&D soundtrack system with adjustable intensity levels, fast and slow transitions, and button-triggered scene changes

###### Setting & Initial Encounter

  • Party arrives at a winery to find it surrounded by 30 needle blights — small, humanoid-shaped plant creatures organized into 6 groups of 5
  • NPCs Ismark and Ivan are present with the party; Ismark is visibly nervous, Ivan remains composed
  • Party considers communicating with the blights; Gray rolls a History check (20) and recalls that needle blights do not speak, cannot be reasoned with, and are likely guarding or protecting something
  • The blights are confirmed to not qualify as humanoids for spells like Charm Person — they are plant creatures

###### Retreat Into the Winery

  • Party decides to retreat inside the winery and barricade the doors rather than fight in the open
  • Inside, the party identifies 4–5 exterior doors and uses wine barrels to barricade them before initiative begins
  • Ismark notes the doors are unlocked and leads the way in
  • Party theorizes the blights may be an infestation, a security system gone haywire, or an outside force attacking the winery

###### Combat Summary

  • Round 1: Iridel casts Moonbeam at the entryway (2d10 radiant, concentration), killing one blight immediately and controlling the chokepoint ; blights begin forcing through barricaded doors
  • Needle blight tactics: Groups attack with melee and ranged needle volleys; most attacks miss due to high AC but land occasionally on Iridel and Jables
  • Iridel goes down twice during the fight due to concentrated ranged fire; party uses healing potions and Healing Word to revive
  • Jables also goes unconscious from a nat 20 attack; revived with a potion administered by Ismark
  • Were-ravens arrive mid-combat — large, humanoid raven creatures in leather clothes — and join the fight against the blights
  • Ravens confirm they are friends when Gray asks the rafters ravens
  • Gray communicates with the ravens (via Speak with Animals) and relays that the blights are hostile

###### The Druid & Resolution

  • A scruffy human druid descends from the upper floor, wielding a staff as a focus, and begins summoning additional vine blights (larger, stockier plant creatures)
  • Ravens instruct the party to "Destroy the staff" as quickly as possible
  • Ivan lands the killing blow on the druid with a nat 20 crossbow shot
  • Jables picks up the staff but the remaining blights show no sign of responding to it
  • Trusting the ravens' advice, Jables breaks the staff; it releases an inhuman scream and all blights in the vicinity immediately wither and die

###### Party State at End of Encounter

  • Iridel has one level of exhaustion from going unconscious twice
  • Party is low on resources: healing potions largely spent, spell slots depleted
  • Iridel has Moonbeam and two Healing Words remaining; party has no healing potions left
  • The druid's staff has been destroyed; its nature and origin are unknown (no Identify spell available)

###### D&D Music System Discussion

  • One participant shared a work-in-progress D&D ambient music track (updated version of a previous demo, now titled Shades)
  • Vision for the system: dynamic breakdown by scene type, multiple intensity levels, and button-triggered transitions with variable speed
  • Group agreed to brainstorm specific scenario types and moods needed so the system can be built to spec

Transcript

As I see Iridel going to try and commune with their gods, am I able to help them by playing a holy melody? You can. You can. Are you trying to do it quietly as it is in the middle of the night? Okay. Performance check first. It's pretty good, it's a 15. Yes, you are more than talented enough to play a quiet, yet still, that's the word I'm looking for, evoking. So either both of you can roll this religion check, or Iredel can roll this religion check with advantage. You pick. What's your religion? I'm terrible at it. Then I'm going to roll with advantage. 20, dirty 20. Dirty 20. I'm a kind of judge. I get plus three, so it's like... Yeah, it was the right call. So, you know, last time you weren't able to really successfully commune with your... It's your celestial contacts. Celestial contacts, yes. But, you know, Jables is helping you really get into the zone with his tune, so you are able to successfully... Commune this time. Nice. And it is not Celestia that you see, but the other one that I told you about. I'm pulling them up because I forgot his name. It's Istis, isn't it? I think so. Yes, it is. Istis. You see Istis up here before you. Yes, my child. Oh, yeah. This is the first time I've talked to Istis. It's a pleasure to meet them. I was expecting another, but connecting with a God is always, you know. Reverend, what can I do to best serve you? God that one serves quite in that way. And while we have never communed, I have always been with you, here and now. Did Celestian make up the two halves of your being, so to say? And what does that mean for me? Is there any guidance that you can provide that will help me along that journey? Roll me a persuasion check. Persuasion. All right. Come on, big money. One is it? It sure is. It sure is. You have inspiration. Okay, I'm going to use my inspiration. I know this because Jables can give you inspiration once per day at least. Thank you, thank you for reminding me. I have 12. 12. Better than a man. Yeah, that was... You always know the look of realization on someone's face. One of the first roles of the day. I'm like, look at him, I'm like, please be a seven. Please? You can do that German symbol on the dice, and you can always be 100% sure. With the line. But then you don't have that potential that the one is a second. You don't have that hope. Right. There was never hope. There was never hope. How do I say that? The only aid I can lend you is I can answer one question. One question. This has happened after the whole 4.5, right? That is canonical to the point where we are right now. Yes. Then my question would be, why did I see myself in Strahd? The music got to a pretty good point for that question, actually. That was a good question. Yeah, one question's a dangerous thing to offer, you know? It is. It's the best thing to offer. I can always give you a cryptic answer, you know? Think about it. If you need a couple minutes to think about it, I can, you know. If you want to, yes. Give me just a moment. Lucky I like you. Is this something that we can all hear happening? What you're seeing right now. I assume we see him in like a trance. Okay, and then you just play. You're sitting here, Jables, Jables. That's kind of what I figured. So while this is going on, I might be taking some time to kind of look at that Smoky Corpse thing because... As far as I know. What exactly was my experience during the other things? When I was kidnapped, what exactly does that mean?

  • Black. I essentially put you in a state of stasis.
  • Okay, so it was just like-- - Everything was gray. - Yeah, okay. - Yeah! - I thought you were gray, that means black. - Okay, but basically it was just kind of like I didn't experience anything. It was just like they all kind of, basically after Blade left, it was like a suddenly bam, snap, you're what the fuck's going on? - I believe as we were told, we pooped there.

And then you weren't there when we poofed there, but then when we were done and we poofed back, you were there. The shadows took all of me. Okay, so I was just kind of whatever, but it was as if I didn't experience anything. I just suddenly got back and you guys were like, what the fuck just happened? We just did all this shit and here's this eye thing. I will say the right. Or was the eye thing something that you had given to me or am I going to like it? They would have given it to you. They'd be able to give it to you. They're conscious of all of it. It was just kind of like a moment where they were stolen. They experienced some cryptic information about themselves. You would know, though, that Garl Glittergold, his items of favor are cut gems. So this is a smoky quartz that's been carved into the shape of an eye. I might want to, is it while I'm here and while they're doing that, while they're doing something spiritual, I might be doing some, trying to decide what kind of check role I want to do on it, but I want to like. It's better if you describe to me what you want to do and I'll hit you with a check. Okay. So. What are you trying to do? Well, I mean, close inspection and just thinking about What its significance is in the terms of religion. Because like you said, I know that it's a common, I call it political things, like the kind of gems. So I'm going to be trying to think what about this smoky black color. I'm just kind of boring looking at it. History or religion. History or religion? History or religion. Okay, let's see which one I'm going to do. I'm going to do religion. I'm going to do religion. I want to get It's at 14. One moment. No problem. I distracted her for a little bit. It's all right. It's right now. That bop just hits so good. It gets you high like on D.O. It's one of those shit-times where everybody's so... The color of your bottle and the way the light was hitting it and the way that I was looking at it mostly through the bottle, it looked more like it was glowing orange than just like reflecting orange. It is very orange. So I don't lose it. So he answers you after contemplating for just a moment. He says, sometimes in moments of strife, - Being insights into our true nature, our past, our present, our future. You saw yourself in stride? Is that a question? He will make that statement and say, you saw yourself in stride. Would you make it better or don't? I mean, to me, it bothers me to have anything that relates me to such an evil and vicious ruler. In time, as you travel Barovia, learning more of Strahd's past, Sometimes the complexities of living many, many years, I do believe you will learn. Well, I guess that doesn't really help, but okay. That's how all conferring with religious duties works. Yeah, 100%. I don't know. Is there anything else that I can glean from this or do to maximize my time with Istis? This is the guy. Now, will that work? I don't know if you want to try to seduce the god of fate. It's a little... Raising the first time you meet, you know? I mean, if you do it, it's gotta be the first time you meet, right? That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying... Is this just Hunky? Oh, he's... He's definitely hunky. He's definitely hunky. He's the hunkiest man you've ever seen in your life. Likely hung like a well-hung stable work. Yeah, I'm gonna put on a little bit of charm. Oh. Or at least the tone of my look gets a little saucy. Saucy. Start making a little jazz. And, you know, I also ask, will I get to see you again soon? You know, it's been a sultry voice. I recognize the look on your dog's face. Moving the wine jugs away out of sight. Will I see you again soon? Always. But where you are right now, it is difficult to communicate. Well, you're here now. You stay the night? No. No. Unfortunately. Okay. I didn't expect you to roll with this question. I was forced by my party. I assume they left them to you. I didn't expect you to roll with this question. I immediately stopped playing any sounds from my mood. With that, he'll say, we will meet again. We will meet again, my child. And your connection with him will break. Okay. Go back into contemplate life and the meaning of the past, future, and present. You do just that. So with... You're 14, Greg. And you said history? No, I was doing religion. Religion. Yeah, because that's my better role between the two. Yes. As you take a good look at this gem that your friends acquired, them getting kind of cryptic information about themselves, you can almost... As you hold the crystal up, so it's like smoky quartz. So it's translucent, but there's a lot of impurities within it that stop the light from shining through it fully. Is it like a smoky black, or does it have a particular hue? It's like a purplish gray. Okay, so it's like, okay. Purplish gray. But as you go to hold it up to the light of like a candle, and to have the light shine through it, fuck. It is actually giving you multiple colors. So it's reflecting a lot more colors in the light than it does if you just kind of hold it right there. So it seems as though it has some kind of slightly chromatic properties. Although in its current state, it's very hard to see. From her steel bed... In the darkness, it's gray. But in the light, it is the color of rainbows. You know, see if it's You know, reminds me of anything. I'm also interested in if I can use it at the moment as an effective guitar pick. You know, just fun as easy. You're just going to take a look at it. Give me an investigation check. I was going to ask one more question. I was going to do it. Yes. So that's like more just what it looks like. With the religion check, was there anything more specific for what that might mean to me? Like, the colors, like, is there any particular colors? Let's see, hold on, we're checking out. I rolled a four, and then used my inspiration to match one. To inspect the pick? Mm-hmm. Okay. That's what I was embracing. There you go. As you go to inspect this pit, you know, it's green. It looks like one half of a skull with the horns of a ram. To answer your question about whether or not you think it can be used, ultimately there's only one way to know, right? Which is to attempt. But you know, it looks like it might be hard to use because it is only an average bit. But you know, you can attempt any. Taking a really hard look at it, though. It's kind of a curious thing because it does have a very light weight, although the parts that are broken off almost look like cracked parts of crystal. Or like a rock formation. Very angular. It is cold to the touch. Now that you're actually kind of really holding it in your hands and feeling around on it. But other than that, it doesn't seem too overtly magical. So none of these items are magical. They are magical. At this moment. While everyone is exploring the loot, I also look at my loot. Yes. Particularly the regalia with the raven. Because I can tell that it's half a scythe. Yes. Yes. So, in best of the game, you're just trying to take a look at it physically. Quick question. Yes. How big is this general background? I like the size. Okay, so it's like a good size. Yeah. For me as a gnome, this is probably like this size or something. Yes, actually. It is roughly this size. Okay, so this size for them. Thirteen. Thirteen on an investigation. Sizing stuff. So as you go to look more closely at this broken staff, you go to inspect the regalia. And now that you're back in Strahd's domain, you recognize it as the crest of Strahd that's on it. But every time you've seen the crest of Strahd in this domain at least, the raven is black. But the raven on this staff is white. It is made of wood, but as you go inspect the broken parts, it doesn't splinter at the top like wood. It, kind of like Jables' pick, almost looks like crystal as the parts splinter off into these very sharp geometric formations. Do I sense anything coming off of it as well, like a semi-scent or... And sort of like trigger for the history of, yeah. I'm going to smell it. I'm going to give it a real. The smell reminds you of home. It's the first time you've ever noticed the scent of your mother as it takes you back to your childhood when you last saw her. Very nostalgic. Interesting. Because your mother was the one that was half vampire, right? Yeah. And your father was the celestial, okay. Yeah. It reminds you of the scent of your mother. Interesting. But other than that, it's not magical. Is it like heavy? It is. It's strangely dense. Much denser than wood would be. I said this right. Wood would. That's how you know I'm crying. It is black. Staff itself is black. Good for another three minutes in there. Any other questions, any comments? Any other things that you want to do before you take this long rest? I will play my traditional morning song. Okay. Yeah, and I'll give my speech. All right, all right. Y'all rest, gain those benefits. It is now morning. It's funny because, you know, the sun's never shining too brightly in Barovia, so like the evenings of morning and the afternoon, it's all very surreal. Is there all very similar brightnesses? I don't know. Regain your inspiration and all that good stuff. That way. Does your speech give inspiration as well? My speech gives temporary health. Oh. Is it an eight? After a short or long rest, give a performance. When you do, up to six allies, which can include yourself, within 30 feet of yourself, gain temporary HP equal to your character's level plus the modifier of the ability that I used, which is wisdom. So eight, yes. Is this a new thing? Yeah, it's my, um, from my level four. Nice, that's awesome. So, plus eight to our HP. Temp health. Specifically temp health, because it has a different mechanic. Yeah. You'll take that first, and then you will be able to regain it. Eight. Eight temporary. That is good. Temporary has its cool. It's kind of like a bubble. I'm gonna fight a lot, because I was... I told you I was stealing. That was relatively squishy. I was right where you couldn't see it. What's your total HP? Mine's 23. With the 8? 36. I'm sorry. With the 8 or before the 8? Before the 8. Yeah. Yeah, mine's 36. So I've been very squishy. That's part of the reason I've been staying so fucking far. That's why I go up front, too. I have more than him, and he's... What are you, 35? 36. 31. This is cash. My con's only plus two. Mine's also plus two. What are we all doing this morning?

  • Cool, you know I'm pretty inspired and healthy. And Blade did tell us to talk to the bar owner, so I think we should probably do that.
  • Yeah, that's right. 'Cause that was the last thing he said, was that we were gonna help the bar owner get his wine from the Wizard of the Lines or whatever, something about that, I don't remember the details.
  • Yeah, so essentially what happened was that y'all agreed to help him, well Blade said that, you know, The people of Barovia pretty much lived for wine, so their shipments had been disrupted. So he was going to help you guys kill the hags in the bone grinder if you guys agreed to help them recover their shipments of wine, as they had not been coming in for the last few months, which makes the town people angst.

But... So the double plus for us because it's those tags that are in that mill that we are looking for that we own. That's a good forward base for the castle. So yeah, okay. As soon as you guys come down from your rooms, you will see, you said his name was Erwin Mardagoff? That sounds right. I didn't write the name down. Doesn't matter how many times. Yeah, Irwin. With a W. With a U is why I was. You will see Irwin. He will be tending the bar. You'll also see behind him his, what you assume is his wife. I don't know if you've seen her before. She was in there when we first walked in. Okay, so she will be in there as well. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. You found your accommodations to your bed. So, question, where are our buddies? I forget what happened with them. I'm pretty sure you guys bought them a room as well and then they retired. Y'all had all been drinking at that point. As you mention that, you will see Ivan and Ismark descend the stairs as well, looking well-rested for the first time in a while. I'm going to show up to you guys as well. Your other company as well. That's a good reminder right there. How did I fucking forgive them? Drugs. Dudes. Who's going to say what? Why are you looking at me like that, Chris? Here it is, the first one to pop up with some of the sauce. Is this the end slash bar that we're getting the wine for, or is it a different one? Yes. Is it this one? Yes, this is it. So I mean, I want to go up to Irwin and be like, so where do you think we should start looking for your wine? Ah, you'll help me with my wine. Well, there is a place called the Wizard of Wines Winery. It is the place that supplies wine to all of us. It is there that you must go. Okay. Is anyone else in the area right now? No, actually. - And he'll be able to provide you with a pretty mediocre breakfast and a glass of beer.

  • Yeah, I'll just have breakfast. I'll do that.
  • Done. Ismark and Ivan will do the same.
  • Same. - I'll have breakfast while we discuss what exactly is going on with the wine shipments. What exactly do we need to do to help you add details? I'll be asking some-- I was looking at his market paying for their own breakfast, right?

Yes. Yes. They are capable of that. Are they paying for our breakfast? They kind of owe us. Yeah. Yeah. Persuasion. With advantage. He asks them and I give him a big smile. 10. - Free breakfast. Being cute has its advantages.

  • Both of us?

Another 10? My history is dog ass. Zero. One minus one. You haven't drank. I'm like, fuck that. But I'm just... ...mention the card reading in the Mention of Ravens 2D. It's loud in there. What's going on? They rolled really bad, but it's fine. The story gets to advance. It's fine. It was good enough. One of us will... Well, yes. I didn't have to go in there to just lighten up, but all I could hear was the laughter. And the groans.

  • The dog ass rules. - One minus one. One minus one. So after having that memory, I turned to Erwin and, you know, take a break from eating. And I mentioned to him that, you know, we're on a journey, as he knows. We kind of shared our story yesterday, but one thing that we didn't share was that a fortune teller told us to search for a nest of ravens. I apologize for trying to be too cryptic about it the other night, but there were prying ears, and I didn't want to put anyone in a situation that made them uncomfortable.

But I had a strong feeling that I should discuss this with you because of the comfort of the ravens' presence. that dawned the establishment. And I kind of point to some that are sitting inside the bar, just chilling.

  • So Madam Ava told you of Ravens.
  • Was that her name?

I'll give you what you seek if you bring me my... Perfect. We will nod kind of knowingly at the nod that she told you to essentially come back. How comfortable would I feel based on the reaction that he had? Do I, like, does he seem like he's really on our side or do I have still reason to be skeptical? Inside. Inside. 20, 30, 20. 30, 20. You see as you speak of, like, Madame Ava and the telling of fortunes, he's definitely, you're going to see kind of like, You're going to see a very earnest resolution come over him. It's kind of like he's almost bracing himself with the knowledge that she's telling him, or you're telling him these things. He's very earnest. He does not seem as though he's deceiving you, or has ill intentions. Go back to eating my breakfast for a little bit. Now, as far as your question, Greg, he's going to say, it's been a very long time since I personally have been to the Wizard and Wise myself. Typically, we'll get shipments via cart every so often, and that's all the interaction we have. Fair enough. I figured it'd be something like that, but every little bit of detail counts. You never know what dangers you encounter in this land. I would anticipate deadly forces. But I'm sure you already kind of are getting that right. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, maybe. Just a little bit. I think you also missed that I coerced Ivan and Ismark to pay for our breakfast. Oh, okay. Nice. You sure fucking did. Sure fucking did. Yeah. Y'all are able to easily eat your breakfast. You are well fed. For the day. That would leave you guys in this inn, which I'll go ahead and take you back to the map. Are you going to stay in Blackie, or are you going to try to go straight to Crest? That was my question for you guys. Do we want to hang around in the town anymore? I kind of want to look at the map again and think about it a little bit. Do we maybe want to check out that store with the... Where the boy would come from? Do we want to wait for that later? Because I forget. Right here. This is the... Actually, this is me, and y'all are right here. I'm about to stand up too. Okay, so the daughter... That's right. So the daughter that had the doll had been targeted by Strahd. That's all. Do we know... I forget. Do we know where she had been taken? Or if she had been taken, we just know that she had been targeted and... So, the mother had no idea where she was. She feared that she was in Strahd's castle. Okay. She told you the... She fears the worst. My daughter is... Yes, the only thing that she's able to give you guys was her daughter's toy, which was her toy. I couldn't remember the specifics of that. Mad Mary. What a gal. Screaming for weeks, and nobody bothered to go check in on her to see why she was screaming. She was crying because her daughter's fucking been taken, and nobody fucking bothered to help her. They were like, what's going on there? And we bet you will. That's what happens under fascism, man. That's just what happens in real life, you know. I thought we said, I thought that was the same thing. They probably call the cops and then nobody would answer and then they kick in their door and accidentally shoot the person. Nah, their dog. No, yeah, no, their dog. Their dog would be excited for a new person and be like, hey, person, and then, yeah. Just, uh... 2026. Oh my god. Ah, but yes. I think there was the stockyard that y'all passed in the very beginning, which was right here. Which you, oh, sorry. Which, you know, you guys saw a carnival wagon that was super odd, but Blade confirmed that was his carnival wagon, so now you know that weirdness. You guys went straight from here over here and I'm pretty sure you saw the Blinsky toys. Yeah. And I don't know if you were able to see any other stores. I don't remember which way we walked. I do remember asking if there were like other stores that we would notice and I think that's how we like noticed the toy store but I don't remember if there's anything else that we specifically look for at school. I don't know that we necessarily need any more supplies or anything really although there might be a good idea to do a quick stop and look for them. But yeah I just bought a bunch of random shit. Yes. The BTS Oreos are fun. I don't know why. BTS Oreos? They have their own flavor. They're like a brown sugar pancake is what the flavor's called. And there's like little crystals of brown sugar in the cream. We've always got the best snacks. Me too.

  • Wow, they're purple. - Yeah, they're so good.
  • It's like a big pancake Oreo. - We have BTS already. We can take one more while I'm at it.

4K no low dose, though. No? Oh, maybe one day. Man can dream. Those are fucking good. But anyway, I do believe that the Blinsky toys and the inn are the only two things you really saw and took note of. You might have seen a mansion here or there, but they were just large houses amongst the kind of small, much more modest dwellings. Do we want to investigate the Burgermaster at all? We know we have to come back through here anyway. Yeah, because we've got to come back through to New York with Blake for future shit and all that. So... My thought was this. Talk of what kind of supplies we have if we need to find some shop to get more supplies and then... I don't think we're short on anything. I mean, we have rations and everything. I'm pretty sure you have. Everything's really expensive because it's hard to get. I think we're probably pretty good to continue on. Go ahead and try to get to Crest as quickly as we can. Where's the... Crest where the wine is as well? Yeah. He has like a cross from the wine wizard thing from what I remember. All right. We'll look them up. I did it and then I ate another one. You guys are. You'll be able to see that, you know, we got crisp over here. And then down there. It's only a short detour down to where you know the wine would be. I'll probably go drop off. I have an anise mark first and then head down there, right? I will. I'm out. Yeah, because there's a path down, a walking path down on the way back. It goes out of the way on the way there. So, as you guys continue down the road, someone give me the first travel roll. 20 or what? Nothing happens on the first day. You guys keep going. As you continue up on the road. Someone give me the second drum roll. Please don't be a 20. 10. 10. You guys are good for the next day. You actually advanced one more. Someone give me the third drum roll. Do you want to do it? I'm going to go with a 20. For sure. 70. 17. What did I do? Inspiration. Inspiration roll lower. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. I still have my inspiration. I know you do. Next day happens with that incident. Roll me another one. 17.

  • Let me actually confirm, did I get that to her in the community? - What's wrong with this? - What do you mean? What do you mean?
  • I was talking to God. - Yeah.

We're able to see Kresk on the fifth, roughly, day of travel. Three. All right. You guys have a relatively easy way to Kresk. I had hoped, because 17 is three way, you know? It's no fun. So as you guys get to the road junction, the road branches north and climbs a rocky, - Escarpment?

  • Escarpment.
  • E-S-C-A-R-P-E-M-E-N-T, escarpment.
  • It's basically a natural wall. - Yeah.
  • Interesting. - Ending at a gatehouse built into a 20 foot high wall of stone reinforced with buttresses every 50 feet or so. This wall encloses a settlement on the side of a snow dusted mountain spur. Beyond the wall, you see the tops of snow covered pines and thin white wisps of smoke. The somber toll of a bell comes from a stone abbey that clings to the mountainside high above the settlement. The steady chime is inviting, a welcome change from the deathly silence and oppressive fog to which you have grown accustomed.

It's hard to tell at this distance, but there seems to be a switchback road clinging to the cliffs that lead up from the walled settlement to the abbey. That's a lot. But I'm going to go ahead and pull-- actually, no, you guys aren't quite in Crest yet. But you're able to continue up the road to this gatehouse you have been described. I assume you would continue, yes? Mm-hmm. We're going to take our boys there. All right. You can see that Ivan and Ismark do look a little worried as a... Well, worried is not the correct word, not the right word. They look anxious as they see the imposing walls of Krest in the distance. I asked them what's wrong. Isn't this where you were trying to go? Yes, but I'll be honest, I was not sure that we would get here alive. But it is good to see that Krest does seem well fortified, although imposing. My concern lies with gaining entry to such a fortress. Hopefully they are, uh, have a cool... If you're fans of music, it's easy. Gables, you're up. I hope they are, friend. I hope they are. As you guys approach this game house, uh, let's go ahead and pull up the map of the crest. Uh, crest, because it actually does provide a diagram of the, of the... Yeah, he doesn't want diagrams. Probably normies. Weirdos. Probably normies. Here's the gay house right here. So you guys are going to approach. 20 foot tall walls. And these things. Huge. They'll be so awesome. Huge. Yes, yes. The air grows colder as you approach the walled settlement. Two square towers with peaked roofs flank a stone archway into which is set a pair of 12-foot tall iron-bound wooden doors. Carved into the wall above the doors is a name, "Kreisk." The walls that extend from the gatehouse are 20 feet high. Atop the parapet, you see four figures wearing fur hats and clutching spears. God damn, this is so much reading. They watch you nervously. But you do approach the village. Where are those guys standing? Above, like, so there's, there's, like, parts on top. There's one here. It's, I've never heard it described as a parapet, but, like, it's this walkway. You can, like, travel. You see the little four right there? How many of them did we see? Four. You see four. All together. Um, I think there's at least... So the doors are closed and you won't see anyone standing in front of them, but you will see multiple up to four guards like on the walls above it. Lighter? No lighter over here. I mean, walk up to the doors, yeah? Yeah, this was what I was about to ask. Do we see a guardhouse near the front or any way that it looks like you would communicate with the guards if you were there on reasonably normal, non-nefarious business? As you approach, one of the guards will yell down to you. They yell down to us? Yes. Stay at your business. We're travelers looking for a safe sanctuary. Sanctuary. Sanctuary. Persuasion, I guess. I forget. Did the brothers have connections here? Was that the reason they were coming? No, they had heard rumor that Crest was safe. They had actually never been here. So I was going to say. You said perception? Persuasion. I might have said perception. I'm not an expert. I heard persuasion. Okay, good. I'm going for persuasion. Persuasion makes more sense. Oh, yeah. It's persuasion for sure. But it's a one. It's a 23 for me. A one and a 23. How many ones are you going to get today? Hopefully this is the last. Damn. I've got to retire that diet. Hopefully it's the last one. Bite her lip as she goes to answer the guards. You actually take, roll me a D4. Okay. You know? Fair. Two. Yep. You deal yourself two piercing damage. All right. That comes out of my tempal turn. Jables. What are you saying to them? I'm telling them that we got some friends here that... They feel like they need a safe place to stay. Their home is hostile now. You all have heard that Cresk is a safe haven. They'll open the gates. Standing in front of the gates will be a very well-dressed guard. He's going to kind of hail you guys towards him. Ismark and Ivan are close behind him, but he's going to say, he's first going to look you guys all up and down. Dimitri. I'm the captain of the guard. I will allow you entry into my city, but do not make trouble. Or you will be stripped of your valuables and thrown to the wolves. Agreed? Sounds fine to me. I'm still tending my bit. I mean, you know, trouble seems fine. Yeah. Yeah. But then he's gonna walk away. Which leaves you in the very charming city of Kreskin. Getting the answer could have done more harm than good. Better forgive then. This map even is like a topographical map as well, so you can see the steep elevation in certain parts of this. You guys are now within the walls. As you enter, roll me perception check. 11. 11. 19. Also a 19. Not too 19. As you guys enter, everyone is going to see the mist-shrouded village beyond the wall is nothing more than a scattering of humble wooden cottages along dirt roads that stretch between strands of snow-dusted pine trees, so many trees, in fact, as to constitute a forest to the northeast, great cliffs, rise sharply and the road winding up to the abbey is easy to see from this vantage. So you guys are all going to see that this village is amongst a dense collection of trees. My 219s are also going to see that it looks like there's quite a few houses as well that are growing food. You see livestock. You're seeing that they're Very self-sufficient in this little town. There's a lot of nature happening here. Have Ivan and Isma calm down at all? They're still anxious. They seem extremely relieved to at least have gotten into the city. Ivan's gonna say, I'm not gonna lie, I thought they weren't gonna let us in. But it seems as though we are here. I didn't even have to play the song. I know. Would that have worked? Who knows? I think so. I'm gonna ask them if there was any place specifically in Crest that they need to go to or if they just were wanting to come here in general, see if they have any more information about the town or like at least the name of the place to go or somebody to talk to? Well, you know, I didn't really know too much about here, but you know, I bet you, I bet you we could find something. We did know of the Abbey That did know to take people in at one point or another. The Abbey of St. Markovia, which you guys don't definitely see on this map. Didn't you already kind of mention it, or is that something else? No, they've mentioned it before. The Abbey of St. Markovia is kind of what they were told to come here for, that there was like a haven. And then Crest as well. But give me one moment. Something with rock mouse, sorry. I kind of figured that it was the Abbey, but... Yes, that is why they're here. Go to the Abbey and see what's kind of up with that. Yes, but they would be willing to accompany you guys pretty much anywhere as you look around town. Any reason to do exploring or should we just start making our way up there? It looks like the road's kind of windy on the way there, so we explore on the way, right? I mean, I guess there's the straight path, straight-ish path. Okay, so do you go from here? Do you go here or here? It's not exactly a ton to explore in the town. We may as well make a loop before we walk our way up there. So you're going this-a-way? That was my thought, yeah. Just kind of do a loop around. I don't know if we want to go all the way to the pond and then back. Just to check out and see if there's anything that sticks out. It's not. We're looking for an inn, right? Yeah. Because we're not going to stay in the Abbey, are we? That's true, yeah. We will need to find an inn as well. It would be nice to find out where it is. Okay. Find out while we have Bismarck and Ivan so they know where we're staying to. As you guys are winding around, you will notice that this building in particular is rather large. Ivan is going to remark that it looks as though it would be the Burgermaster's Mansion. There's usually one... relatively large house for that person in particular per town. If he's anything like the Burgomaster though in Blackie, we can give him a wide berth. You never know what he's going to say. Do we notice anything interesting about the Burgomaster's house? Percentage, yeah. 23. 23? Wow. Fine. So... Let's see right here. Iridella's gonna notice that it's actually, while it is a much larger dwelling, it is relatively in a state of disrepair as most things are. You're gonna notice that it has like a section in the back where there seems to be a lot of like graves and a mausoleum kind of like building. But other than that, not a lot going on here. That actually kind of makes me feel better about this town, to be honest with you. That there's not a lot going on here? Yeah, at the rich person's house. Sounds like. The ruler is not really like, you know. Yeah, sounds like what Ivan and his mark were kind of hoping for, too. There's not really much going on, nice and safe and quiet. Well, I mean, it's a mausoleum, so it's not that safe. Obviously, some death going on. It could be a burgomaster place, it could even just be a family one. No, forget it. Could also be just small town, slowly dying. You know. What'd you like? Sometimes you die slowly, right? Sometimes you die slowly. So as you guys continue over here, in the distance, this little area right here, it seems to be a small pool and a shrine. An old gazebo on the verge of collapse. Can we tell what kind of shrine it was? As you guys approach, give me a perception check, everybody. 17. A 1 plus 6 is 7. That would, again? What did I tell you about these 9 ones, Aaron Elf? That was supposed to be the last one. They're chasing me, man. 8. 8? Alright, what was yours? It's crazy that my perception is a plus six, you know. I get it. Mine's a Z-pad. So Gray is going to notice that there's a wooden statue of a mournful, bare-chested man. Its paint chipped and faded, standing in the gazebo with its arms outstretched as though waiting to be embraced. Hmm I'm gonna get in the water right now. A wood stack of a mournful, bare-chested man. Its paint chipped and faded. It stands in the gazebo with arms outstretched as though waiting to be embraced. He's looking for a hug. He is. You know, sometimes you want a hug. The shrine of hugging. But yes. Yes. It's a bare chested man with his arms stretching out. Are you going to seduce him? No. Why are you being rude? It's a statue of paint peel. I feel like Grey just asked it nonchalant. It's just a matter of fact. You're going to seduce your way through this vampire campaign? My word. I mean, yeah, but you can't seduce a statue. A statue like that? Is there anything interesting about the water? Does it look drinkable? Relatively clear. I've been holding on this bond for too long now. You ain't gonna drink it? Looks clear, smells clear. Does it seem like you can like, just like a natural pond? Yeah. You ask if I'm gonna drink it makes me nervous, but... Are you gonna drink it? We have something to carry water in, don't we? You'll usually have water skin in the starting pack. For sure. You'll have a water skin. Earlier because I think. I'm not feeling like I need to drink the water or anything. I just wanted to see what was interesting earlier. Are you drinking the water? No. You're not drinking the water? It's not beer. Not at the moment. I just need to know if I can drink it later. You always can drink the water. No, if it looks drinkable. There's a difference between being able to drink it. It looks incredibly drinkable. I mean, it's right by a shrine, so... Is it looking at me like it would look at me if there were water next to the town and I was Leslie? Yes, but I don't know what role I would make you roll to determine that. It's the same one. Sleight of hand, maybe? I'm laughing, too. In the bathroom. I am noting that font up. I drank it later. OK. OK. Other than that, you'd be able to continue on around. It was still cherry for me, so. If you're about to pawn, can I do a... I know we just saw what the wooden statue is. Can I do a religion check to see if I know more about what that might be? Yeah, you can. Might as well. Maybe with a religion check. Might as well, since we're standing around. It's a 13, so... 13. I see Gray looking over at it, so I'm going to study it myself. Religion as well? You know, you know, it's the same role, but I got minus one, so it's 12. What are y'all looking at? A 13 and a 12. Looking at that statue in the gazebo. Mine was a 13, including a plus four. Oh, okay. So it's religion, check. I will also investigate it, because that helps determine if I should drink the water. It's a 17. We're going to do the 13 religions first. Do you want this? You don't have this. It's okay. It's mine. Mine. 13 religions, or 13 and 12 religions. You guys are going to kind of look at this statue a little more, and you're going to notice that it is another depiction of the Morning Lord. The God of the Dawn, which you've seen his likeness multiple times now, and his symbol, which is like a sun. laughter I mean, he helped the dad by killing his feral vampire kid. Yeah, you did what you had to do, right? But yeah. Yeah, what we, yeah. I just wanted to make sure that that's where I was referring to. Yep, yep. But it is. What was your role here, Delph? 17. 17 for what? Oh! Dr. Reinhardt again. With your 17 religion, you also feel as though this area is slightly blessed. You're starting to kind of feel it all around you. - What do y'all do with that information? I am going to try that water. I assume my water skin's empty from the giant travel that we did. If you go to drink the water, it will taste sweet and fresh and will gain the benefit of lesser restorations. Sounds like what is less less restoration like that up? Poison. Several minor conditions which you and I probably could name, but I don't want to get in the way. Because greater and lesser are similar. So if I see Iridel just like creaming her pants over there after drinking this water, I'm definitely going to empty out my water skin. Yeah, I'm going to join as well. The imagery is powerful. You're able to do just that. Now question, with the water in our water skin now, is this something where whenever we drink from it, we're going to get the rest of restoration, or how does that work? Is it just when we're here? We'll have to just go to town and get another water skin or something. You don't have one? I have one. Oh, right, right. I need one for regular water. You're able to fill up your water skin with a decent amount, but you can only gain this benefit once per day. Does it just cure it immediately right then? Yes. You're granted the benefits of eating. What should I call this water skin right now? Just like special water skin? Water skin of lesser restoration. Because why? Probably look at how many uses is in a water skin. It's four points. So it's four uses. We can see if someone in town sells more water skins too. Yeah, we just stop by. Stack up on water skins. If we could only get the benefits so many times a day, then we don't have to come back here. Well, I mean, a water skin is basically just... But the water will be cheap. We have a bag of holders. We'll say there's that, but also... 16. I think we gave that to the wolves. That's right, we did. We did. Okay. Yeah. Shit. That way they didn't need it. That would have been good. That would have worked, but... It was good thinking. It was good thinking. It's crafty. But yeah. I do have a little bit of money written down, you know? That's true. We should definitely check for a store. We haven't seen any stores on our way over here so far. I imagine they would be in this area if they exist. You guys do not see any stores around here. There's no store groupies anywhere, right? No. Well, except for... Okay. Hmm? Hmm? I've got mine in my pocket, but I know which keys he's looking for. Oh. Keys out. Yeah, that's... Yeah, because do we want to check out this little town square before we get... Yeah, I'll just go back along. Hopefully one of those two other buildings isn't in or something. Adios, good luck. Magic. So as you guys go back around here, you see that pretty much all of these are dwellings. Dwellings, and everyone seems to be doing something like growing chickens or having small plots of food, fruits, vegetables, whatnot. You see that each of these dwellings seems to be providing a certain need to the town. You don't see-- I mean, you actually don't see an end.

  • I just quietly say to all of us as we see all this, I just, "Communists." That was literally what I thought. Like this is a very, very communist.
  • Communists.
  • Because it's, I mean, this is the definition of a small commune. - This is a commune. - Every house is supplying a particular need for that, yeah. That's how most small villages are always going to work.

It's not a bad method. Yeah. Just saying. It is. For a small town in this area. Did we notice a particular house that looked like it was doing leatherworking or anything like that that we can ask for the- No. Anything that's got a tanning rack out front? You will notice that these houses right here in particular, this group all seems to be dealing with animals. There's cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, all that. Do we see anyone sitting around their houses out there? Anyone that's not currently tending to something or is just waiting? You do see kind of an older man on his porch drinking wine. Check that man out. Yes. Well, do we want to say we still got Ivor and Ismark with us? Are we just gonna do this now or do we want to go ahead and get the mini-avvy and then come back and do all our shopping and figuring out stuff? It's up to you. I think we at least say hi to the man with the wine. Yeah, since we're here and we're seeing him, yeah. That's a good idea. It'd be nice to have the water skin if it's available. We'll do it now. Yeah, okay. Might give him some time to make one if he doesn't have the avvy. True, true. Yeah, let's talk to him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll walk up to the old man and be like, hey there, sir, how are you doing? Oh, wow! I figured it was going to be like, I haven't been there for sure, right? We're looking to see if... He's looking mostly at you two because you're a human, right? I'm still, yeah, I'm still... I'm like, well, we're looking to see if there's anyone around here that could do a little leatherworking for us or has any water skins or something. Water skin, water skin. Persuasion with disadvantage. With disadvantage? 15 with disadvantage. Is it 10 and a 15 and I get plus five? Love it. Nice. All right. Nice. He'll think for a moment, and he'll say, So is this just like a custom in Barovia? I don't know what you mean. Yeah, you do. I don't know what you mean. Yeah, you know exactly. I'm gonna look her dead in the eyes and say, let me speak to your manager, young man.

  • Joke check we could do that would lighten him up and maybe lower the price for that joke.
  • Well?
  • He might enjoy being called a guy, maybe.

As like a joke, trying to take a little bit of a compliment. Old people are hilarious. - Old, huh?

  • I'm like looking for a way to like, something that'll trigger around him that we can use to handle the price better.

Perception? Mage hand run. What? 8. 8. ...around and try to, like, see if you can figure out kind of, like, a haggling method or some kind of way to coerce him. You really don't see too much around him. Okay. What about his, like, intentions and, like, personal desires? Can you, like, tell anything about that? He seems like a drunk old man. Um... He's my kind of people. So, I mean... You're not really seeing too much. Definitely a farmer. He's an overalls. He looks like he's worked a day. He's like slightly dirty, of course, you know. Can't believe there's too much other than that. I think we see if we can get some wine from the Abbey. That seems like a pretty good, you know. I don't want to pay 10 gold now. It's still going to be 10 gold later. Wine? What do you say about wine? Oh, I'm always looking for a beautiful wine. We haven't gotten wine here in god damn six months. I'm almost out. If I'm out of wine, I'm going to end it all. Damn, we've got to go talk to the Wizard of Wines. Yeah, we do. Give me some wine. I'm going to look at him and say, you know, we're supposed to be helping this region out with wine, but you know, it's hard to do it when I'm so thirsty. Water, you know, I just run out of water. If I had, you know, these skins, they're tangled to pieces. It's crazy out here. It's crazy out here. Guess we may never get that wine. I'm strategically staying back and out of the way because I noticed how he was not enjoying the non-human. So just pretend like I'm kind of hiding out of the way. That was hilarious and also very accurate. Roll me the persuasion check with advantage now. 19. No way. I can do that. I can do that. I can do that! Get out there with that wine. Oh, right away. We can show our appreciation by buying a couple of them. How much? Well, he'll only let us buy the one. Yeah, he'll only let us buy one. He'll only let us buy one. Okay. He said we can buy more when we come back with wine. Okay. But at least we can have one extra. Five of the silver I've got written down. Yeah, I think it's your inventory. Hey, Sean. No, I'll just have you add an empty one over here. - With regular water when we get the chance.

  • Water.
  • Water, water, water. - Fill up that water and just use it for now.
  • Yeah, I mean still water.
  • Yeah.
  • But we gotta go to the Abbey first and drop off the baggage.
  • It's a thing to do before we leave town type thing.
  • Yep, yep. - You know, this newest version of this right here, it does blinkers. We're all doing things now.

I love it. It's so wild. This is ten full seconds. That's crazy. To do a Blink-ski? That's a Blink-ski there. It's no fun, it's no Blink-ski. It's going to warm up before we do Blink-ski. It's going to warm up, he says. We got some shit I can't read. - We're both really good strangers.

  • Guarantee, I feel like it's a double hybrid, I think. - We went once. It's gonna be so helpful to have Ben. Concepts, we have at least the concept of it.
  • I had to get some of it. - What were you saying about the blinkers on these?
  • It takes 10 seconds, you did it?
  • Yeah. And as you do it, it'll change different colors. - I can't do that. There's no way I can do 10 seconds.
  • And it's like not a short second.
  • No, it's like a full ass. - It's a full ass second.

Mississippi 2, Mississippi 3. It started changing colors. I was like, oh, it's blinking? No. And then it changed colors again. And then I was like, I bet this is just another color change. Gasps Like the perfect size to fit inside the fish and just have the nozzle sit out? Because those others, if you get it to fit so long, it'll actually go through. Hmm. It's always the temptation, right? It's always the temptation. I give in to evil, you know? I get that. I get that. So how much silver and gold do we have, by the way? Well, so, I have written down now... I'm going to have to ask Eridel when she's done smoking a cigarette. For mine, and I don't know if it's just mine or the group's or whatever, but I have 11 gold, 40 silver written down. Okay. So maybe that is our party total. That's 11 gold 40. At this point. That makes sense, yeah. Because I think we were just doing party holding for all of them. Which, yeah, makes sense. Because we have a bag of holding now, especially, so just throw it all in there and then keep the bag of holding in the safest place possible. Go back, set that old man's house on fire, take the fucking rod of, uh, the immovable rod and, like, put it right outside his door and activate it? Get the fuck out of here. I'm not even listening fully to you. What? Fucking Christ almighty. Would that be oath-breaking? I think so. Take a wild shot. I wonder if I'd be able to make the immovable rod invisible sometime. I'm trying to spell that the line in the object is invisible. I'm not sure if I have one. I need to do it right now. They got Grayson Kemp at work last night. A fantasy. What's that place you like? 85 degrees? - She brings them up there, so there's the fucking chocolate thing. - Where's my bear?

  • Put that invisible thing in my invisible mage hand. I'm gonna lay my beer out there.

I can tell you, Grace, I took a plastic-- sorry, I took a metal cup. Remember what the hassle was last time? Water bottles don't exist over there. I do remember, but I got no water bottles. I got a lot of water bottles, but I got no water. And I wonder if Strahd has true sight or not, which sees through a bunch of invisibility. I was just thinking about their distracting. Sons of fucking bitches over there discussing what to do with the goddamn rod. Hey, man. There's an option. You know. - So you're playing my play? - My play. I can't wait to see it. Everyone has a conversation about what to do with the arm at some point. I wonder why my stuff is kind of out of control today. You got your birthday cake, Grace? I want to see it. Sure. I want to see it. Yeah, sure. It is. I think it is. It's here to sue. Very nice. Such a big thing. I know there's so many good fucking sweets.

  • I feel like these were white chocolate Milano. So yeah, white chocolate lemon.
  • Oh, you brought those again? - Yeah. - Fuck, those are good. Fuck. - It's crazy delicious. - Those are good.
  • I don't know these existed.
  • Dangerous knowledge to have.
  • I'm on the lookout for lemon flavored things. I love lemon and orange flavored dessert stuff.

My only problem with women is they can be like really overdone. Which is fine, because I know a lot of people really, really like it. This is like perfect for me. I'm one of those people that does enjoy the kind of overdone living, but it does depend. And if I'm doing that, it has to be the right thing, and I can't eat a lot. These are a problem. I can sit down and eat like a half a whole package of a bar of these. That is the burden, right? It's not even the entire bag of these that you're sipping. Or you ruin it for me.

  • I've never tried this s'mores thing. This was a, I've never tried this and I had to just grab it and really see what the next thing is.

Hey look bud. So it's got like little crumbled bits of, I think it's graham cracker stuff. Artisanal.

  • Can I have graham cracker with caramel?

and specifically get the caramel one instead of just the regular one. Where's the Abbey? Don't even be asking them questions. It's conveniently in the grid. Don't conveniently ask him questions. Isn't this a safe space? - So y'all are approaching this gate. So the road from the village climbs above the mist to the wide ledge on which the abbey is perched. A light dusting of snow covers the trees and the rocky earth. The gravel road passes between two small stone outbuildings. Either side of which stands a five foot high, three foot wall thick of jumbled stones held together with mortar. Blocking the roads are iron gates attached to the outbuildings by rusty hinges. They appear to be unlocked. Viewed through the gates, the stone abbey stands quiet. Its two wings are joined by a 15 foot high curtain wall. A belfry protrudes from the rooftops. The closer north wing, which also supports the chimney, building gray smoke. So there's a lot going on here. Although slightly dilapidated, it is still the abbey. So I assume you guys are approaching the iron gates and building to open them. Yeah, we don't see any guards or anything. Welcome in. It seems unwelcoming. It seems a little creepy, but not necessarily unwelcoming. We're in Barovia. It matches with general Australia. All par for the course. But I won't call it welcoming. If it were super welcoming, that would almost be scary. However, I've been in Ismar's take on this. So Ivan, who's supposed to be taking here, is kind of looking around like definitely not super pleased with what he sees. Ismark seems a bit more apprehensive as well. They're going to look at you guys and say, I guess we'll have to investigate inside to truly see what's going on around here, yes? Does that just mean Richman is looking down on you? things look or is that other disappointed because they did kind of grow up in the mansion. This is true. Yeah, especially since the outside looks dilapidated and like it doesn't seem as though anyone's here. They're definitely kind of very much questioning the information that they have. Well, party. Do we want to go in this creepy gate to this... Weirdly militarized religious institution. Or do we just want to push them to the gate and say bye? Right, yeah, we only promised to bring them. What is your oath, Jables? Devotion, so honesty, courage, compassion, honor, and duty. We have met all of those conditions. Let your word be your promise. Protect the weak and never fear to act. Let your honorable deeds be an example. So your chance. So you guys are going to leave them here at the savvy. You're not going to go in. You guys can do whatever you want. I guess we can at least walk through the door. Yeah, that was my thought. How much further is it? I can't-- Not that much. I think we can do this because you were climbing the mountain. So we can fully see the door and everything from here. There's nothing-- I will ritual cast detect magic before we walk up to the gate. You don't inherently feel magic from this gate. I can go through the gate. - If we get greeted at the door of the Abbey by a relatively normal looking person, we may leave it there. - Yeah, we'll see how they feel about everything.

  • I could also have my Raven inspect the grounds a little bit. Very true.

Yeah, we could walk slowly up the path while you-- Oh, yeah. Find familiar. Such a good spell. You're having him scope it out? Mm-hmm. All right. As your familiar goes to look around the grounds, he will actually start to see-- or you will start to see something kind of odd. There will be these individuals kind of tending the grounds There will be like crude amalgamation of like, or amalgamations of like animal parts, human parts. One of them will have like the face of a bat. It's something like that actually. But you'll start to see these, I'll just say mongrel folk, kind of a... Meandering around the ground, some with shovels. How would they feel if you called them mongrel followers? Well, I'm just reading out of the book. Do they look like Frankenstein, or are they like were- Like stitched? Right, or like that's just naturally how they are. Like a thriller park situation? Yeah, well, no stitching. It looks as though whatever happened to them was like a magical fusing, or they were born that way. Okay. They look the form, though. So maybe kind of non-stitched. The show talker special. Yeah.

  • Just like you don't see the inside of this building.
  • Inside of what?
  • But you'll be able to see the long grounds. There's gonna be a building right here, a large building right here, and then some fields over here that you will be able to scope out.
  • And where are we seeing these models?
  • Tending to the fields, walking around. Some meandering much further in. Do they look dangerous?

Or do they just look like special people? It's not special. I'm going to ask the great basic question. How many of them are we talking about? Like a dozen, a few dozen? Ravens can count. Just remember that. They're pretty good. They also can spot gold from very long, far away and bring it to their friends. I want to know how overwhelmed we're going to be if they are hostile or they become hostile for some reason because we do something to them. Actually two guards on the other side of this gate that are currently asleep. There's four of them tending to the fields. Those are all that you see outside the building. Are the guards mongrel people as well? They are mongrel. Do they have human faces? Do they have human faces? I have their art real quick.

  • The first time I bought these.
  • The BTS Oreos are gonna haunt my waiting thoughts.
  • They're a limited edition, so you want more of them. - I will.

I'll just let it fade from my memory. Reminds me of the coach from Letter King, chirping at one of the players, just like, did your little sister eat your last limited edition Oreo? So pretend you do not see their names. I'm okay. Okay, yeah, that is definitely more of a show. Tucker special look. I had a feeling. They are asleep. Well, we've seen that the two guards are asleep and from what we can tell the fields are on the far other side. So just - Yeah, how does the path lead? Does it lead into the front door or does it go by the fields? I don't remember.

  • It kind of winds around.
  • Okay, so the fields are paths too.
  • You'd have to pass several buildings to get to the fields.
  • And those guards are at that second set of gates?

Or the first set? - Right here. - Okay, so yeah, they're behind these right behind the gates.

  • While I'm sleeping right here, while I'm sleeping right there, your crew can see them. Raven.

Oh. Oh. Did we knock at the gate then? Like, the mic? Little, like, oi! Yeah. We've got, like, a half vampire and a gnome with us. We can't be discriminatory. Nah, yeah. That's true. They're just attempts to speak. Are we, uh... You're gonna hit them with an oi? Yes? Yes? I mean, yeah. I think so. As we lay, you know, kind of at the gate, like, you know, like, oi. I mean, I call with the ravens because I'm still, you know. I am. Flying over the top of them. Yeah. Circling over the top of them. Do a little circle right over their head as Jay will just oi you. All right. Just confirm something about these guys. There's sleeping guards at a gate at a monastery. How's that gonna be a fight? Did you hear that music? That was two hours that it took for me to play that entire long mix, whatever that was. Did you hear that music? There's no way. There's no way this initiated the battle. Come on. I like to keep you guys on your fucking toes, okay? As they awaken, you see the black of their eyes. Everybody run! I saw this in the Herald of Oblivion. I like this one a lot. So as you give this an oi, you're gonna see these two individuals kinda like... It's hard to describe it. Like, meander out. They call them out. Barely, huh? They call them out. Exactly. Quasimodo-ass looking motherfuckers. Told you, they're just special. You are gonna see the one that is like, put it... Going to have the left side of her face and body covered with lizard scales, the right with tufts of gray wolf fur. Between these tufts is pale human skin. One of her eyes is that of a feline, and her fingers and hands resemble a cat's paws with opposable thumbs. She has a gruff voice and wears a gray cloak with a black fur trap. She's going to say, "Stay your business." I'm just going to feed her the same line we fed to the guards at the front. Just like our friends here are looking for some safe haven. We've heard that this might be one of the only places in Barovia that is such a thing. You? Is this the case? She's going to look over at her as a foreign compatriot. She's going to look back at you. She's going to kind of like give you a look of like, Slight contempt as you actually meet her in the eye as she speaks. She's gonna say, "Come with me. I will take you to the Abbot." She starts looking this way! I guess we follow her. Yeah, I know, right? I kind of shove Isaac and his mark in the middle of our group. So it's clear that we're there for their problem. Are you guys fucking sure? Are you sure? but not needing to be forced. Do I feel anything hostile from this guy that's helping me? Or is it just a noise? Like a, you know, I want to still be sleeping or do I feel like it wants to eat me? Insight check. It's a cat, so probably both. Oh, is that in that one? Oh no. That face only means one thing. Yeah, it seems... She seems incredibly genuine. It seems like her intentions are pure. She is someone that you can trust. I give it my social security number. Yeah. We're getting them all out of the way before we're going to fight something. Yeah, at least it's the low, you know, what's it called, rolls. Y'all are getting some great not ones. She's going to usher you guys through another pair of kind of like doors and guard towers. And she's going to leave you guys in this courtyard. Before like walking back to her post? One of them's going to walk back to the post and she is going to go into the building y'all are right next to. And she's going to say, I will get the abish. And she'll kind of go, woohoo! Okay, if she's gonna leave you guys there. Ivan's like, guys, guys. Not what you expected? Not what I expected. Are you getting the vibes? I'm getting around here. Or is it just the deformed animal people? I'm gonna be great and just say, It's interesting to see a place that's, I'm just going to outright say, interesting to see a place filled with such non-human looking people when so far we've been told is that non-humans are very much not accepted anywhere. I'm just going to say it out loud just to get everybody to... Yeah, I mean, does horrors beyond my comprehension not encompass my feelings enough about this? Or like, what, are y'all just used to these kind of, you know, these... Is this racism? Or is this all racism? Is it my fault for racism? My thing is, ultimately, one of y'all is here because you're scared shitless of Strahd, who you feel is after you. Yes, now I don't know which is worse. Being his thrall forever being eaten alive by animal people. Obviously. That's the racism. That right there. That's the racism. This place achieved its reputation of a sanctuary because it's able to protect beings like these. If you can't get past the way that these people look, then you don't deserve to be protected by them. I mean, we got to hurry now. We gotta hear him out at least. We gotta see what's happening. My thoughts. Where's the ad? Just like we heard y'all out. Grease. Thoughtless. Out loud probe who brought out their racism. Funny how that works. Kind of like what you were saying. It's like my thought is like, you know, the people who would be fighting against Stratton They're not going to be the normal ones. No. I'm trying to think of something that I can bring up about being a gnome. Because so far, I don't remember them having any kind of specific reaction, although I don't know that I ever-- I was probably being gray and just not noticing it. But now I'm kind of wondering, like, I don't know how to word what I want to ask them, though. Well, they were pretty accepting, but that's pretty common for racists when they're looking for help from people they think of lesser as beings. Yeah. So, you know, it's hard to say. No, I'm trying to think of how I want to learn. The AI is going to have to transcribe this again. Do it. Yeah, let it learn. Yeah, as this conversation is going on. Ray, with his inability to word his question correctly, probably just going to straight up say, well, what about me being a no? Do you think I'm going to eat you? I'm going to say something just completely dumb. This is different, my friend. This is different, my friend. But as you guys continue to argue this back and forth amongst yourselves, she is going to meander out of this building right here. Being the Abbott or the guard the guard she's going to kind of bacon you come in Again enter this building get right there sweetheart He's gonna grimace As I guess you guys agree to walk into this building. Now, I guess you don't need to place yourself just yet. I'll go ahead and continue to... Dad was trying to try to fight us. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I've got no reason to yet. No, no, no, no, no. Unless he's a straw puppet. In which case... Fuck him. Yeah. As you guys... That's what Moonbeam's for. As you guys enter... As we enter, yes ma'am. As you enter what you now see is a main hall, gentle sounding music trickles down from above, played on a single string instrument by some unseen master. The ground floor is one large 50 foot square room with arched glass leaded glass windows. A cauldron sits on an iron rack above a fire and a hearth. While above the fireplace mantel hangs a golden disk engraved with the symbol of the sun. In one corner, a wooden staircase climbs to the upper level, while in the other corner, a stone staircase descends into darkness, which is this right here. Darkness above. Several chairs surround a wooden table that stretches nearly the length of the room. Wooden dishware and golden candelabras are neatly arranged on the table, standing behind which is a young woman with alabaster skin, dressed in a torn and soiled red gown. Her auburn hair is neatly bundled so as not to touch her shoulders. She seems lost in her own thoughts. And a handsome young man in dark, in a dark, sorry. A handsome young man in a brown monk's robe gently takes the woman by her hand. A painted wooden holy symbol that depicts the sun hangs from a chain around his neck. He moves with the grace of a saint. So, of course. Oink. Oink. I do not oink. There you go. So, you know, the young man that looks like a monk will kind of like wave you guys over. And he's like here? Yeah, they are both standing over there.

  • No, nevermind.
  • You don't like my choice of minis?
  • I've met plenty of friendly of both of these.
  • You have? - Mm-hmm. - At least give it up, Jim. You're wonderful. All right.
  • So which is which here? - I'm thinking the man of the cloth is the evil looking thing. - The mind flayer or whatever. - And then the octopus human is probably the woman. That would be my guess.

Did I get it right? Let's go with that. Let's go with that. So a woman and a priest looking guy? Yeah. Okay. He seems to be trying to teach her, you know, a finer voice to get at this table. Yes. You want to say yes? Yes. How can I help you? Yeah. I've been told you have come here for sanctuary. Kind of shove Ivan in his market. I'm walking up, kind of pushing Ivan in his market forward as I walk up. I'm like, yeah, come on, guys. He's going to look at Ivan in particular and take him in for a moment and say, I see you. What do you see exactly? This is what I want to know. Well, I see the people you are trying to present to me, yes? Oh, okay. You know, never mind, I miss them. We've been on a journey with some mystical people. Anytime someone says, like, see, they've been there. Insight check. Insight check? Mm-hmm. - From the popper?

  • Yeah, from the popper. The one I had, it was just way too hot in the center. - That's fucking-- - And it just missed him.
  • That's-- - Being that I am naturally distrusting of men of the cloth, particularly when in the presence alone of a young, beautiful woman, I also ardently try to figure out what's going on with this dude. Try to just like examine everything, get vibes.
  • Okay. Okay, you can also give me a... insight check. You... You know, you see him, you see the woman. His intentions seem valid, right? It all seems good to you. You feel good about this place, like in general. The guards... The guards of your life. This guy feels so good! What did you get?

18. 18? You're about getting different vibes. You're just happy that we've got to the end of our little vibe. Yeah, we're finally got here. We're gonna chop these fuckers off. Those mushrooms this morning were really delicious. So you can tell No. He said, indeed. Like, he questioned him a little bit more about the moment. And, like, Iredell could tell that he looked at Ivan in particular as though he already knew who he was. You did see a moment of recognition there. Okay, but is the girl safe? I want to know that. Is the girl safe? Yeah. Sheesh. See She seems as though, like, she's giving you kind of weird vibes now, too. Weird what? Give me a perceptual check now. All right. As I just stand there? Nat 20, plus 6. You're like, yeah! This is a great place to be, with your Nat 20s. You can... Start to, like, you know, you really, like, you're distrusting of him. You're like, all right, bad vibes from you. And you immediately go to look at her, and you start, like, noticing, like, yes, she is beautiful. But she also seems to have, like, seams along, like, you know, a few parts of her body under this, like, red dress. You can tell, like, all the joints. Like, sure, like, her arms are beautiful, but now that you look at them, like, they're not, they're not exactly the same. Although her skin is a beautiful alabaster white throughout. Oh, you've noticed. Well, if you wish to leave your friends here with us, we will take very good care of them. I'm still standing next to, I mean, is Mark, I want to do a perception check on what's going on on their faces as the rest of this is going on. I'm an is Mark. You know, they're taking a look at this guy and they're trying to take it all in themselves. They do have looks of horror. I do not, they, I don't think anyone has cued in on what Irdil has cued in on yet. But they're not getting too terribly awesome vibes. They haven't been since that racism conversation out in the courtyard. To be fair. That's part of why I'm just kind of like, I am a little guy. I'm like, keeping an eye out on those little guys. They're seeing this and they're like, but. Have they introduced themselves to us yet? I guess upon that he's gonna say I am the abbot and this is Basilica. Creeper brought some woman back from the dead. No. What? Did you say that out loud? Yes. It's not loud. What did you say? The creeper brought some beautiful woman back from the dead. Not bad from the dead. He's going to kind of take a very hard look at you and say, is she not beautiful? I suppose beauty is an eye of the beholder. Beautiful like a stone or like a well-crafted clay pot. Yes, I am accusing you of manufacturing life. So you're, are you accusing yourself? Sorry, I was. I'm accusing him of having manufactured her life. I was just making sure because I was writing a check down. And I'm high enough to. Tunnel vision's a little bit. Easy, easy. She used to be Strahd's bride. I made her just for him. Isn't strategy. I was like, this is insane. As I'm hearing this out loud, by the way, I'm stepping forward in front of Ivan and his mark a little bit where we're standing because I was kind of like standing behind them trying to push them forward, but as I'm hearing this, I'm now kind of like starting to walk a little bit between them, a little bit more in front of them, just to... After he says that, I will say that I'm a bit confused. I thought this place was like a safehold from Stroud. Well. Not exactly. Not exactly. We are safe from Shrug because we serve Shrug. That's what's up. You know? It's a safe hold. It's our leader and master. Not from Shrug. I'm in an Ismark. Now you're standing next to him. Oh. They love to hear this information. They are hard as a rock right now. We're stuck with the baggage for longer. Listen, we're stuck with the baggage for longer. You guys like wine? I don't know. Oh yeah, we do too. That's what we're on our way to go get. Is that right? Mm-hmm. We're going to pull the wine favor. Do you guys have an inn around here? Not here. We didn't see one. I figured it out. I figured it out. The village of Kresge is very self-sufficient, other than the wine. It was impressive to see. It was self-sufficient. Is Jable trying to talk his way out of this now? No. Never. Never. But, you know, with great responsibility. You know, you've got jobs to do. All right. - You don't want to throw off the balance of your town.

  • No, no, no, no, no. But you can leave them here. We'll keep them very safe.
  • Turns out we actually need them. - They're probably gonna help us carry the wine actually, if that's all right.
  • Oh, you're a no-dier, Needle-Fly. We have plenty. I'm the only one who drinks it.
  • We'll bring them back though, arms full of wine. Party time, excellent.

Did you not bring them here for sanctuary? Well, I think you guys are up for a walk now. I think you guys are up for a walk now. Stretch your legs. No, no, no, no, no. We were just about to have dinner. Please, please sit down. I'm already stuffed. I don't know about you guys. Yeah, you know, we came into town, you know.

  • Yeah, we don't know if we find it or not.
  • You wanna take your leave? - If you're gonna take your leave, do one thing for me.
  • And what would that one be?
  • I need you to find a proper bridal gown for the silker right here. I haven't been able to find one myself. But she needs one if she's to marry Stroud. - You're right, you know. Keep an eye out. I can't be rewarded doing so. Since I'm sure you'll be seeing more in the room.

I'm positive. I'm sure, you know, whether we like it or not. Whether we like it. What were you saying? I was saying you know how it is. The same reason everything here is so expensive. We'll definitely be nearby. you Let me know if you ever wish for a tour of Miami. Oh, for sure. You're always welcome. You know, if we weren't on a job, I probably would. Probably would. Maybe when we make it our way back. Like I said, we will definitely be back. Maybe when we come back. Thank you. We were here before, so we figured we'd check it out before we finished. I didn't quite catch yours either. My name is the asset. It's not a name, it's a title. I take my title very seriously. Then you can call me the paladin. You can call me the gnome. Or the human, if you prefer. You guys are such pieces of fucking shit. I'm not, you know. Yeah, I don't know that we necessarily want to give him our names. I don't know. I do have a name for our party. I do have a name for your party, but I don't know if it's too much meat. Oh, that's terrifying. You want to hear it or no? Obviously. Obviously? I mean, in my opinion, but... Instead of Tenacious D, you're the Tenacious 3? I don't know. Do we want to name drop that here for the first time? Maybe have Jables name drop that. You can just call us the Tenacious Three. As I hit the power cord. It has come full circle now. It's means. Yes, he's going to look at you guys. That way we can avoid giving our individual names. What are you? I can't talk to this guy anymore. He just disgusts me. And if I say anything, I'm going to get in a fight. And clearly my friends don't want to fight right now. And he won't look at you and ask your name. He's like, yeah, I'm giving you a name. I'm going to step in between her and be like, hey, man, we're being nice to you. You're not trying to blow up your spot. Why are you trying to blow up my spot? Murder in her eyes. Does he pick up on that? I got to say, I'm stepping in between. I'm stepping in between. The words were said. Should be disadvantaged. You wish it was disadvantaged. I got to tag my bats. I'm never going to forget that. Those bats never go away, you're a dumb. I hope you know. Yeah, well, you know, they're food now. And he definitely... I mean, do you pick up that he picks up on that? Is now the question. You know, probably, because I'm looking for it. He sees your murderous intent, and he kind of is trying to size you up. And he sees that you're very upset, and he's going to actually make you wait. He's like, "Jay will go, she goes!" Jay was like, holding me back at this point. We're just gonna, you know... Like I said, we're headed to wine. He's gonna pipe up and say, "Like you said, we're the Tenacious Three." Yes! Yes! He winked at me. What the hell did he call the girl for? He killed his... Which is the silk. Definitely nothing going on there. What's everyone's passive perception? And what's everyone's intelligence? Passive perception is 16 and intelligence is 12. How do you even calculate pass intelligence? It's 8 plus your proficiency plus the stat modifier. So it's almost like the same as a DC. Oh, OK. So minus 10. Which makes sense, because your wisdoms are low stat. So it won't be high. So with the two of you guys as pass or perception, what was your intelligence? My intelligence is 15. What's your intelligence? 10? It's like, your Adele is starting to really get pissed off and there's like boring holes in this guy's forehead. Both your Adele and then Gray, because I think your passive The investigation would be relatively high because you have a plus three, right? Yes. Probably like a 15. Yeah, a 12. There you go. So you guys are both going to realize that he is disguising. address. You are free to leave. Well, let's go get that wine. Yeah, so we... Let me know if you find that bridal dress. It is key. You don't happen to have any bridal dresses, do you? No. Someone quite as alluring as you.

  • Abel, let's get out of here.
  • Yeah, I never stepped out from between them.
  • You might have stepped away for like beer or whatever that is, juice. - An ale. - An ale. - He comes back just mysteriously somewhere. He's got an ale in a cup. You guys are able to take your leave, although mongrel folk are now kind of congregating. All around the outside of this Abbey. I see you guys are going out. You think I'm not doing okay?

Yeah. You find yourself back. And Chris. - Ismark is gonna say, "Guys, what the fuck is that?" - So you wanna go get wine with us? - Well, let's just, I'll just say, you know, Ivan is in like complete shock. Ismark is kind of the one like, "Guys, that's not what I expected." Like, did I ask? They don't say that, but.

  • No cap on God for real for real.
  • No cap on God for real for real. Like, what was up with that?

At least we made it out okay. I think we should leave the city. Yeah, we should get out of here as quickly as we can. It's a small town. There's not going to be much way of hiding from this habit. We got that extra canteen. Did we fill it up at the lake yet? We should go make a stop as quick as we can. Only problem is that it's pretty nice and deep right there. Well, yeah, but we got to walk up that winding path anyway. And it kind of goes the... There's a connector right there. Well, I mean... It's just a hill. It's elevation change, 100 feet hill. If there's a cliff or something, we've got a rope. Yeah. Well, that's, yeah, I don't think it's actually. There's probably more distance. We're not going to do anything to us in this town. There's probably more distance than I'm thinking. That's probably fine. That evil priest thing sent us on a mission, so I'm sure he wants us to complete it. Yeah. Yeah, he wants one bad. Well, it's not gonna be in this town, obviously. No, we'll have to go to like one. If we want. Maybe, uh... Maybe if we make our way back to Mary. Save my comments for when we're out of town. Maybe if we make our way back to Mary. I'm sure we got one. Alright. The only person we know with a kid in the night, I think. The only person we know that might be married and might have been married and had a child. Maybe we'll find one at the winery. Guys, probably rich. Perhaps, perhaps. So as you guys climb down, you're going to come over here. You're going to fill up that wine skin or that water skin with the water. And then it's going to become, it's going to be closer and closer to evening as you guys continue to meander around and risk. So what are you guys going to do? Are you going to try to find a place to stay in the city? No, I'll probably set up camp on the roadway on the way down, right? Yeah. All right. Because you guys leave Christy.

  • Take yourself back on them.

So this is where we're trying to go, right? Yeah. So what's Isaac and-- Yeah, let's get there. What's their plan now? Yeah, let's get there, ask them officially. So now that we're up to the road, we set up camp for the night. I guess we'll be doing this camp for the night, past lunch. Yes, so as you guys go out, Outside of Cresk, you find a nice spot right outside the road to set up camp. We all propose the question, now that we can't take you to Cresk, where do we take you? I and an inmark kind of look at each other and say, the only other place, maybe Vallaki, but-- Where we just were before, Chaz? Anywhere in the town of Barovia, right outside of the castle. While Blackie had some interesting near-duels, it does seem to be better than whatever was happening here. Could we entrust Wade to keep them safe while we do our... The visitor of the winery. Maybe Blade knows of a safe place. Yeah. Or something it is. There did seem to be a few people that we might be able to trust. I know you guys were talking to the innkeeper. They are privy. I don't know how much you've made them privy to, but they were there when you had a few conversations. They definitely, actually, they wouldn't know about your reunion with Blade because they weren't with you then. They had already decided. Okay. I'm sure you can give them a short synopsis of being able to find, like, an ally. But then they're going to say it does sound like, you know, that might be the safest place so far. Other than what we were talking about, which are lies. Make sure to kill that person next time we fucking see them. Which person was it that told you to come? Yeah, I do question, actually, yeah. Just another... Peruvian counter. One of which whose name I will not speak. Well, y'all going to come get wine with us and then go back to the lackey? Might as well. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not going back to the lackey. Yeah, I'm not making that up. We had promised to bring you here, but I do feel bad not bringing you somewhere safe. That's good. Because you're out to the safe protect the world. You should have just left him at the gate. You know, I was giving the animal people the benefit of the doubt. That's such a nice thing of you to do. It's too high, man. My is too high. Is that right? It's all right. I'll give you one of these days. I'll give you one of these days. The whiz, I guess. The wisdom. So you guys are able to sleep or hang out. Is anyone doing anything in particular other than the talking to these two guys during your downtime? While we're here, what are we talking about? Going to the binary and stuff. I'll ask them if they know anything about the lake that passed on the way as well. This lake here. Because I know we've seen this last, so we know about this lake. Lake Baratak. Yeah, Lake Baratak. I can't remember. Might as well just talk to them about it, because they obviously know the area well enough to know what's around. We'll freely give you the information that they know about you traveling. We know that they're at... We didn't leave them at Strahd's castle? Yes, or the, whatever, yeah, the Abbey, which is essentially Shredding. They're gonna say the only thing that we know about Lake Baratok are the tales of the Mad Maid of Baratok. The Mad Maid? Mage. Mage. That sounds like my people. Lighthouse? Or what? Yeah, so there are stories that a very powerful wizard, in fact I think you will regale with these tales by the stunning when you first came here, that a very powerful wizard came to Barovia, rallied the townspeople, and lost after an impressive battle with Strahd. Okay, so that's repeating. His body was not found after he plunged off of One of the Mount Bear talk cliff signs. But rumor has it that like a mad mage still stalks the lake and the tower that is down there. You never know what's hearsay though, so. I wonder what mad mage means. My thinking is like mad scientist but I'm thinking like mad in the favor of Strahd or is it considered mad because it's against Strahd and everything here is low key like other Strahd stuff. Sadly, it is not on the way to the wine. No, it's a little past, but there's an unlabeled mountain down there that has the path end at it. What's that? Do they know? Ivan and Ismael? This? Anything, the mountain down there in a river's label. Yeah. Um... Cold? Cold? Here is Yesterhill. So that is Easter Hill. It is a site with a large, very old tree. That's a good shot. Mary Perry. Those guys in the... Whatever it was, was it Scotland? Somewhere in the northern British Isles, that really famous tree that was cut down as a... Yeah. The reason they won't let anyone know where their oldest tree is. I'd be worth checking both of those out on our way back. All right. While we're here, while we're still asking our questions before we move on, they grew up in a nice rich house. Surely they had some sort of deal or might know some sort of information about the Wizard of the Wines winery or what the people there are like or anything like that. No, actually. No, actually. No idea. And they don't know anything about that yesterhill or whatever it is? Other than the fact that that is... The old tree? Yes. No more than the old tree. Would you believe that we rarely ventured outside of the gates of the town of Barovia our whole lives? I find it to be less and less shocking. What is that? You're just being an idiot. All right. I got nothing else to ask. Let's see how much information we can pry from them before we start making our way. Y'all go to sleep, you wake up, and this is going to be... Before I go to bed, I do want to make my celestial map. Your what? My star map. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, star map for this ceremony. I'm going to roll a d6. So there's a glass disk etched with constellations. While holding the map, I have guided to Guiding Bolt spells prepared. Cast Guiding Bolt without extending a spell slot. And you cast it in a way that a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier minimum of once. And you regain all expended uses when you finish the long rest. Yeah. If I ever lose it, I can just remake it. It just takes an hour. It is very good. It is very good. So, with that, y'all rest, wake up, and you begin your travel. I give an inspiring speech. I give a speech about how we will need to come back and rescue those poor people creatures that have been bastardized by that evil man of the clock we should turn presk into an actual stronghold against stroud yeah yes that blessed pool deserves we didn't talk to the burger master But what exactly did you do? This commune. I didn't assume that there was one anymore. Well, there was that big house. Yeah, but it looked dilapidated like no one lived there. I didn't think she said that, did she? That was definitely an extrapolation on my part. That's correct. I've heard dilapidated and thought, well, like everything else, it's still dilapidated when you're out of here. That's been said a few times. But also I wasn't really keen on talking to her. We've avoided most of the Burger Masters so far. I just thought I didn't get to describe it again, but I could have. She said there was parts of it that were in disrepair. Sorry, guys. I had to have some cake. Oh, yeah. For sure. If anyone else wants to get cake, it's an excellent time. It is tiramisu. Which from these places are so fucking dank, it kills me. It kills me. But yes. Did someone give you the first travel rule? Yeah, I got you. Three. First day happens without incident. Second travel. Great Europe. Yeah. Second day happens without incident. I'm going to go ahead and roll a third day. Roller. Third and final days, you approach the winery. Apparently, then it's busy. 12. You lucky bastard. Someone needs to roll a nat 20 already. No. You wanted bats here. Not again. Not again. She's trying to get me to roll a nat 20. No, I rolled a 12. And a 3. Good. Travel happens without it. Y'all haven't even ventured into the woods yet. Y'all aren't doing any of the fun stuff. Something explicitly told us not to at the start. Yeah. But like, where have y'all done what you're told? Disappeared into the woods. Because it's not real life. Maybe if I had the full staff. I'd feel confident. That's the fantasy. I follow the rules. It's a key part of the roleplay. It's a key part of the roleplay. Besides, wine is on the line. Of course that's a higher priority. This cake's dangerous. It's always so good. The tiramisu cheesecake I remember now, so. Tiramisu cheesecake. It's so good. It's interesting. It's a burden on my mind. Kind of like these BTS bucket Oreos now, but this, they have every single time you go there. All year round. That's actually pretty good. I'm usually not a huge tiramisu fan, but. It's like a coffee-ish flavor type thing. It's coffee soaked, like tiny little delicate cakes layered, and then you put mascarpone cream, and then usually like another little layer of like, it's a bunch of cream, coffee, regular cream or something too, right? It can be. It's like a coffee mascarpone.

  • Cake, essentially.
  • I'm not a big coffee fan, so.
  • This doesn't even really have the coffee flavor to it. That's why I think the cheesecake helps out with that too. 'Cause typically what it is, they soak the, they're called lady fingers in like coffee liqueur, so that's where you get the coffee flavor from. In fact, I think tiramisu translated in Italian to pick me up. - Is what? - Pick me up. - Oh. - Turn it over. I know about my cakes, unfortunately.

That's information I don't . My whole time favorite cake. Black horse cake. Oh yeah. They are really black. There's a family recipe German chocolate cake that my great grandma had. It's up there for my favorites. Is that cash? Does it need to be loaded again? I'll find out. It might be cash here in a second. I think it's good right now. Yeah. How many sweets? Thank you for coming through on the sweets, Austin, as always. As always. Chapstick. Chapstick. That should be the first thing I packed for the beach. Yes, please. I assumed it had a built-in screen. Yeah, that's a good bowl. That's what made me assume it. I was like, this looks like a fucking expensive bowl. It is. You don't get the $2,000 bomb. That's a good bowl. You have to go with it. I've seen too many people push through those, like the built-in screens. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. We tried to be real delicate with that. Oh, I'm fucking not about to make that mistake. Ew. Yeah. You put a sink roll on your bum? No, that's the sub. Yeah. We busted it out. He said I could bust it out, so I busted it out. Oh, yeah, he did. He can't wait. He's counting down the fucking days now. He's probably within weeks. Yeah, we're just keeping it on the desk. That's right. We're getting it warmed up for him. I don't want to pass it around the table. No, I'll go over there. It sounds like a stressful time. I want to get one of those one of these days. I interviewed for a job recently. We'll see if I get it. So I'm actually second a backpack too, because we have to declare our laptops, right? Are we going to put them back? Well, yeah, you have to put all your electronics. Well, not declare, because we have to pull them out of the bag. Are you planning on showing your back in the big bag? No. You taking a backpack too? You taking a-- I am taking a backpack. I will just put all my electronics in it since I'm putting all my clothes down to carry them. The battery thing, I ran up on the battery thing too. I'm going to throw the battery thing in with the laptop and our cell phones. Carry one of those. You got to throw that in. What, these things? Yeah, mine's a little bigger. She bought me a camping one. It's got the solar on it. That's cool. I've seen those. We're getting the Jeep. It's not like we're going to be without that. I didn't like that. Exactly. But still, it's nice to have the little... There's a chance if I get this job, though, that it drastically changes my schedule. You've had so many people congratulate you this week. Nothing official yet. Unless I'm told officially. I get it. When we get back, we've got time. Probably gonna do it when I'm in fucking Hawaii, but there's a chance that I could be other night shift would make my days Sunday Monday Tuesday with Saturdays this way they fuck literally everything So we'll see So we'll see I mean, I'm not crossing my bridge when I get there, but it is on my mind because like I played the beyond literally most of those things but - We'll see. - Remember that little song I started showing you a little bit at FL Studio? - Yes. - It has evolved significantly. It's my newest song I'm almost done with. It's drastically different now. It's funny how much it's changed. - Yes. - This is what it's ended up as. It's the second half of the song. Oh, you know what? This thing doesn't make up what I changed. Okay, so we're at the Wizards of Wine & Winery. You are now a version 1. Don't be really too... It's hilarious how much it's changed. I think I have the original version of it too, so I can actually compare them both. Fuck yes. Alright. So. Hmm. So it's referring to this - Leading further and this leading toward the vineyard. I actually didn't use the version. One moment, so I'll do right back. And then I'll give you more description.

  • How many days of travel have we done between like Vlaki and this?
  • Vlaki was five and this was roughly four. - So nine? - Yeah.
  • Or three rations?
  • Yeah, 'cause how many rations do we use per?
  • One every three days. That's what we were doing.

Yeah, I think so. I just want to say one. It's one for each of us, every three, right? Yep. Preach. Yeah, we could start looking for game whenever we're back on the road after this, you know what I mean? Even just at this crossroads. Go quick peek around. See if there's any bats, deer, squirrel, raccoon. Winery might have food. Yeah, we could do it. Like I said, we could do it after the wine run. Yeah. Because we've got enough to make it all the way back. We do. subs. Old Sparwich Road. I wonder what's down that way. This way. Further out, yeah. Might be, because I think that's what it was on the other side of the other side of the world. In front of it. So what did you learn about your crystal? My role wasn't super great, so all I really got there was basically that when looking through light at it, it's rainbow. It's rainbow instead of the gray color. So it's like gray, and then as soon as you get it up to the light, it's rainbow. Which seems like a pretty obvious metaphor for What I want my character's art to be, what my character's goal is for his personal art. The fact that it's shaped like an eye and you have to hold it up to your eye and see it and everything. I haven't quite figured out what else to think about or potentially do with it. Am I clear to put the cake up or does somebody want more? I'm good. And are there more of those in the fridge and can I have one of yours, the red rolls? Because I kind of want some. There's warm ones if you want one. I will take one of yours from the fridge. Thank you. Making sure it's not the one that Rick told me about. you One thing to me. Well, two things. Yeah. Does it to all of us. Does it to all of us. There is cold brew over there, too. I don't know if you saw that, Austin. I did. In fact, I used the last of my regular shit and then a little bit of the cold brew, so it's like a... A good blend of it. Yeah. That's awesome. That's incredible. - It's not that similar, but the crochet doesn't get done.

  • Yeah, but it's crochet.

It's just next level. I don't know whether to use it or protect it at all costs. Did you make this or someone else make it for you? Someone else made it for me. I only ask that because I have some crocheted stuff for my surgery. I successfully crocheted a hat a long time ago. That's pretty good. Yeah, it took a significant amount of time. It's one of those things you got to practice. We try to be RADHU capable. Yeah. She had this on and then... She made a crooked hat. I mean... She made a crooked something else. It was difficult making that crooked looking hat, okay? The crooked hat took everything. It did. It took everything from me. It took everything. I pulled everything into the shedding. There's much sun. I'll be fine. My bedding will be fine. It'll be fine. The airwaves are cracking me up, though. There's like, look at eight airwaves this summer. I'll slip on them. Richard, you tell me. It's going to take over the world. I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen inside. - You have this vine growing out front. Makes me want to throw up a lattice. I'm going to throw up the lattice. That's awesome. It's like curling around the side towards the front door as if it's trying to get into the house. I'm sure the HOA is going to get pissed about it here soon. But they can't get pissed if I put it on the lattice. Exactly. It would look nice if you put it on the lattice. Obviously, it was intentional. You can't get mad about that. Calculating. I don't know what kind of vine it is. I know. I was thinking the same thing. It ends up being poison ivy. It doesn't look like it has the leaves of three. It's just singular leaves. I don't know. I'm not allergic to poison ivy. I'm allergic to everything but the things that everyone else is allergic to. I actually should probably try to get into an allergist and get tested again because I got tested once when I was in second grade or something like that. And all I remember is that they came back and was like, well, you're not allergic to foods, and you're not that allergic to animals. It's like, I didn't have dogs, I was like a little allergic to cats, no foods, but they're like, everything else. It's like, don't go outside. Yeah, don't go outside in the spring or summer or fall or most of winter. Everything inside is okay. I'm allergic to cats and probably quite aggressive in streets. Hey, look here. Have you seen those plastic bubbles? But, uh, we're not as bad as Brian. Yeah. Yeah, being allergic to foods is the worst. It is. Especially if it's a number of them. Yeah. Fuck. However... Definitely not allergic to wine. Let's get some... Some algae going. There's no weed in this universe, huh? There's no weed in this universe, huh? They have actually found a number of drugs in this universe. Am I biased? Heavens no. You just have to know where to look. You can know who to ask, of course. Wizards of Wine sound like some stoners. Yeah. You can see what you want to see, right? Yeah. As you guys continue towards this winery, you will see situated in the midst of the vineyard, the winery is an old two-story stone building with multiple entrances, thick ivory covering every wall, and iron fencing along its roofline. The trail ends at an open loading dock on the ground floor. A wooden stable of Morarese construction is attached to the east side of the winery next to the loading dock. West of the winery is a crumbling well and a wooden outhouse. I'm going to pull up the actual map. I'm going to go ahead and send the good old raven to see if they can find any of the wizards so we know where to go. Scoop it out? Scoop it. Scoop it out? Yeah. Scoop, scoop. I can't bet you. All right. Got it. Pick me. Pick me. Pick me. I just tried and he nipped at me. He's really nowadays. He totally is a little piece of shit. But you guys will be standing right here. Hear the rustle of dead vines all around you. Did his crow raven, raven? See. It's like looking around the grounds? Yeah, trying to find people. So I'll go ahead and just move this around. Oh. So as your raven starts to fly around, it's going to see another area where it seems as though you could load and unload carts of fire. - Wine barrels. It's gonna fly around kind of this and it's gonna see like all around the outside is actually the vineyard itself. It did see kind of into this area that looked almost barnish.

  • It's looking through windows I'm guessing is what we're seeing.
  • Yeah, it is looking through windows. So it's gonna fly down here. It sees more vineyards and another entrance It kind of like is able to see through a window over there. It's like a workshop. And then there's the outhouse that you were so apt to describe in the well. So it's going to kind of like run the perimeter and get back to you guys around here.

They didn't see anybody. Nope. And they didn't see anybody working the vineyard? They did not. Actually, I confirm, I confirm. So, make me a perception check with advantage as you're seeing through this crow. Perception with advantage. Can I use guidance? Yeah. Use me at D4, right? 18, 19. 19. So you hear the rustle of dead vines all around you. Inhuman shapes emerge from the vineyard. Their limbs cracking as they trudge forth through the mist and rain. So, as you guys approach and get to where you're standing, you're craving. Why do I keep saying crow? Very kind. Fuck you. Craving. Yes. Yes. You're going to see 30 needle blights, which what the needle blights are, they're almost like little plant twig creatures. Do we know them to be friendly? As a druid, can I speak to them? Is that possible? I'm a forest man. Kid. It sounds like our kind of evil people, you know, like anti-fascist plants working a wine field. I mean, that sounds like Fred. I don't know. You said needle blind? Can I look this up? No. No, you cannot. Just for the picture. Yes, for the picture. If not Fred, why Fred Shaped? You know? Needle blind, I just want to see the picture. Okay. Is it French-shaped Austin? Bye. He doesn't look... Bye. I mean... Show the class. Show the class. This is a... Of course it's not showing. Yeah, like a porcupine. Just like a little bit spiky. Why is it... Of course not. Yeah. They're kind of friend-shaped. Yeah. They're at least human-ish. They are a group. Yeah. Yeah. It even shows one that's smaller. It's like chewy, you know? It even shows one that's like smaller size. Right? You know? It shows one that's smaller size. Yeah, these are small ones, right? So they're like baby groups. Baby groups. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I chose that I was a four-year-old. We gave the animal people a shot. It's all I'm saying. Is it an animal? No. It's a plant. A plantimal? No, I'm eating the wolves. What do you mean you're going to use the wolves? For the minis. No, it's okay. They're friends. 30. There's 30 of these things? There's six groups of five. And they're not friends. We can't make them friends. Ouch. I'm about to see you try, and I'm about to look upon this in horror. We did make the wolves friends. Or at least we got them to leave. We made them not enemies. That way. Are you going to try that on this field life? A barricade of 30 needle bites? Well, I mean, you know, it's not try that and fight them or try that and potentially fight them. So the problem is people aren't getting wine. Wine's supposed to be pumping out of here. Are these things the same sort of normally making wine here or are they causing a problem? There's only one way to find out. What does it look like as these things are coming? Does it look like they're causing a problem or does it look like they were working the fields or does it look like they were infesting? They're not working the fields. So they're probably an infestation slash problem. But could we get them to work the fields? So as you guys sit here and kind of like go back and forth about the finer points of this circumstance, you are going to have one round to figure out what you guys are going to do. We haven't even looked inside the place at all yet. Are they humanoid? Roughly like a grazed picture. Right, that's what I'm asking. So, like, do they qualify as a humanoid? They're a plant. They're humanoid in shape, but as creature classification, they're a plant. So does charm person work on them is the question. What does it say? One humanoid you can see within range makes a wisdom saving throw. I want to hold my bonus action. That would be, I think it's a bonus action. I'll make sure. My divine shield. - It is now humanoid.

  • It may be shaped as a humanoid, but not classified as a humanoid.
  • I wanna hold my shield of faith for if we trigger initiative. 'Cause I have a feeling it's gonna. That's basically my action.
  • We're already in the loose initiative.

So like you can't actually-- - Well then when it does, so which is at the end of this round then I guess. So word it differently because you would not be aware of initiatives. I got you. What would you be doing? Would you be waiting for them to attack you? Would you be waiting for them to get so close to you? Are you going to try and reason with them? I'm going to try. What do they speak? I'm going to joke fake myself. What do I know about them in terms of

  • is probably the only one who could be given-- - Six. - I guess you're right. If you wanted to also roll me that, what was your roll?
  • Six. - Six?

You unfortunately do not remember anything significant. If Gray wants to roll me a similar roll to try to see if you can remember anything about needle blights, as if they can be spoken to or reasoned with?

  • Yeah, what was the roll that was in here? - History. - History.

20. My boy. 30, 20. Still good enough. My boy. You remember, you know, as your time studying in your temple, in your heritage as a priest, you would remember that while needle lights do have vaguely bipedal forms, not only do they not speak They're typically. They have a single objective, which is rarely, if you see them moving, something that's going to not include them protecting something or maybe guarding something, preventing people from accessing something. You have a strong, strong inkling that you're about to get attacked in the course. By these needle blood. You know, your inkling is strong. I'm going to, of course, make such known as quickly as I can. I'm going to say, like, these guys aren't here to play. Something like that. Is Mark and Ivan... I forgot they were with us. Oh, they're with you. Oh, they're with you. So Ismark seems very, very nervous. Ivan does hold his cool and say, do we get inside the winery and barricade the doors, or do we fight them out here right now in the open? I was thinking about funneling them to the doors, because I can stand at the door. Yeah, if we can at least get inside, that'll be... I think we should decide-- I'd say let's run for the door. Let's at least get inside. Yeah, because we don't know what's inside, but we know there's 30 things outside. Yeah, lots of these things. I know I can use fire and Deeradal can use fire, which potentially would be very helpful. But yeah, I'd say let's just run inside. I do like the idea. There's plenty of windows, so I do like the idea of barricading the door at least. And then we can figure out what to do from there. Well, I'm trying to find your mini, Austin. In fact, from all the way last time we were playing Magic. And I definitely don't have too many minis. We are about to roll initiative. I'm sure that doesn't come as a surprise to anyone here. Give me a moment. Most of you are staying unseen and invisible. You're fucking getting that goddamn twist. I could have so many minis all around you. Here you are. Yes, you are hiding under a fucking large elephant. I love that. Why do I have an elephant name? I use these two very familiar names as Ismark and Ivan. Someone should for sure take them inside the winery. So, we basically have one round to do something before we're going to go ahead and start actual initiative and get you guys going. So would you try to go everyone inside of this winery and close the door behind you? Tell me what you guys want to do. Okay. That's what I was thinking, just everybody get in the wiring and close the door behind us. For now, we can have more time to formulate a real plan. I was thinking very similar. So, I see your adult things different. I mean, I think that makes sense for the party as a whole. Whatever's inside the winery isn't 30 of those things, but that does mean that we're gonna have to claw through 30 of them if we try to leave. Right, unless the source of them is in there that's gonna deactivate them. Right. So I imagine not so good stuff is going on inside the winery. Right. Well, and the description of what I remembered about them being that maybe their function is to protect, sounds like they may have been a trap set to protect the winery. Yeah. So maybe they were previously attacked? Or maybe the security was gone haywire? Yeah, or they could be attacking the winery now as like, you know, get off our land, sort of. Alright, sorry, I had to find the right music to try killing you guys with these twig bites too. This is critical. It's gonna be like a zombie survival scene, barricading the door. Except, twig bites. You will know. Might be worse than something else. Might be now. So as you guys go to have these deliberations, Ismark is going to go to the door and it is unlocked. So he has to be going inside. Cool. I'm running in there. --for the sake of scale, but I'll go ahead and move you guys in so you can see what's inside. Open the door. Excellent. So as you guys enter in this chamber right here-- I think I can probably eat it. You can see these are where the actual vats are, where they make the stuff. You have to be able to take your full movement to come in here. What else did you need? Hey, Gray, do you know how fast those things move? Good question. Are they fast or slow? I don't want specific units. They're not particularly known for being fast, so they're average.

  • Are these barrels, if I check these barrels of wine, would they be full? - They are. Excuse them to barricade the door. These two doors that we came in for sure, but let's also make sure that we look for any other doorways that we didn't see before.

There's stones out there. This could also be our last chance to have a drink, so we might pop one of the barrels. Iridell, Iridell, Iridell.

  • Consider the door... - Blocked.
  • Barricade?
  • Blocked and we haven't seen them yet.
  • You can close it. What are you talking to it with again?
  • Barrels of wine. - These? - No. - These.
  • Oh, those! Alright, sorry, sorry, I'm tracking. I thought you meant the big ones. - No, no, no, not those. - No, you could definitely go for those. Those do still also have wine in them.
  • You know, I just picked up those big vats. - That's what I'm telling you.
  • I only need the big one, really. - Am I high? You know, why am I for that? Am I too high? Good.

Yeah. Yeah, we're talking about using those to block doors. And I wanted to also make sure that we blocked every door and not just that one door that we came in. Because now that we're inside, we see everything inside. Well, yeah, like is this an exterior door? Yeah, is that an exterior door right there too? Is that an exterior door that's open right here? Are we not able to see it at the end of the room? So, it is dark. So it is dark inside. It is dark, but I can take you guys over here just a little bit because you would be able to see a little bit more. So this is a door. So you can tell that this door is big enough for us or for the people to be able to take large casks and bats in and out of. This is a normal-sized door. As you go over here. Yeah, I'm going to block both of them. This door seems to be open, and you would know this room to open into the place where they unloaded on the carts. We'll have to block these doors too. Yeah, so the big double doors right there. So the current plan is blocking these ones, this one, and this one, hopefully before they get in, and if not, we'll deal with them. I also wanted to double check. Oh, yeah, this is an outside door. Yeah, what's going on over in this situation? If you guys were to walk more over here. It looks like an outside door. Yes. Yeah, so OK. Yeah, so we're also going to want to block this one. So yeah, we just want to make sure we're covering all the outside doors that we can find. So there's one, two, three, four. And you're unsure because you have a gun in this one whether or not this one is a-- actually, that's not a door. That looks like one. It does look like a door. Am I just not close enough to see that it's a door? OK. So how many of there, there's one, two, three, four, five of you, and there's one, two, three, four, five doors, roughly? Did we block that door, or did we open it and look at it? Yeah, I'd say before we block this one, because, yeah. We'll at least give it a little peek. Okay, it looks like blind storage. It's not direct, but there's another door in there. So I can say... With your movement and your action economy, you could, between the five of you guys, barricade five doors before we start this initiative. Okay. Cool. You're picking the five that I'm assuming are the most direct. So this one, this one, this one, and this one? Thank you. That's a nice one. One, two, three, four, and you'd be able to do one more. Do you like this one? Well, probably... This one? Probably just the... - The inside one on there. - Yeah, or this.

  • Oh shit. - One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. - Get the fuck around today. - Or else we're gonna enter into this room.
  • Yeah, I'm not worried about this one. - Just keep running, running. - 'Cause it looks like it's just stairs. - Yeah, which could be advantageous for us if we need to go up. We'll leave that one open for now. - This one does technically go to the outside, but. - Yeah, we know that 'cause I'm looking at the map. We haven't really looked into it yet. - That's true.

I'd say just the workshop, right? Just this? Yeah. The Raven? Just those five. Those are the ones that we thought about. So what we do, one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four, five. We are blocking that one. Well, Chris, I don't know if that connects right there. We never opened that one. I was gonna say it would be, if we're blocking this one, it'd be easier just to block that. Yeah, I would just block, there's barrels already in that room. Right. This way, yeah. So we just, yeah, we'll do that. Can I get your fire? No. You guys go to block all these doors. And it doesn't matter because they sprout from the ground. The barrels explode and there's more twig blights inside. I'm just kidding. Wouldn't that be something? The barrels turned into twig blights. They were just disguising themselves. So go ahead and just take dice and we'll indicate those and the barrels y'all are picking up and moving to barricade these doors. in the first round at least of combat. If you guys were to pick up more barrels subsequently, we'll use more of them, but go ahead and start with these five. And then we'll have to visualize which one you guys are doing instead of asking you a million times. Two barrels? Well, consider that one door. Well, you're right though, it's a large two-door. I would be fine with this And then doing that. And then this. And then this open, yeah. Because, yeah, because we just had that one there. Because that leaves us closed in all on this side and with one side open, so we're... I'm just assuming the barrels even stop the things. Yeah. All right. Slowing down at the minimum. Or we kind of just go up. Mm-hmm. Son of a bitch. Thank you, Josh. Taking a wine bath there. We'll go ahead and say this is the array of people who put where what. Unless you guys want to specify it. Which way was this going? Now with that, everyone roll me an issue. Hmm.

  • Seeing that number of real 14. They also got fantastic roles. What is that, the kitty cat? Yeah. He's being a little dickwad? Yeah.

Classic cat. Right outside your reach? Yeah, he's bad at that. He was in my reach, I petted him, and he was like, no. And then she continued to sit there. If I had food, would you tell me that? Yes. Or if you were trying to let him outside, he'd probably... Anyone else? What is that? It's a rat. Because if they're different, it's easier to... Not that I wouldn't love to have like 30 twig blight minions out here, but it's... Oh yeah, oh yeah, it's my horse. Right. What, six groups of five is what I'm seeing? Yes. Fantastic rolls. Right here, that goes first. Jables, who had just gotten done putting those two barrels on the front door, you're going to start feeling something beating against your back. Dad's going to take it to an iridol. 1, 2, 8, 1, 2, 7, 1, 2, 3, 9 on this initiative right here. Next time. Which group is moving first? This one? Yeah, they smacked up on the door. Yeah. Which took the gear down. Well, I'm going to go ahead and... Bless. And it's going to be on us three. Sorry, guys. It's Mark. You had to figure it out. And then... I'm going to go ahead and What is this, by the way, what is this thing in the middle of the floor here? Is this a staircase leading up or something? Yes. So there's like a scaffolding on a layer right above these mats that would allow someone to stand and look down on. But for some reason they separated that to like a second floor mat. But it is right there. OK. Is that all the stuff earlier that I need? But you can see it at this moment. I know where I'm going to be standing for a long time. Go ahead and get prepped if you want. I'm in a wild shape. into I'll make a list of some things that I want, but write down the types of, a good name or description of the types of scenarios or the types of units or things like that that you want to be able to adjust for for a session. so that I can try to work out or something. I'll do something that's kind of like a tech theory style, but I'll have it broken up into a section like this where it's like a more dynamic breakdown. And I'll have different intensity levels and different moves. I'll try to make it all so where you can hit a button and it'll transition to whatever one you want over a certain amount of time. I'll choose fast and slow transitions too, so you can I'm going to trigger this now because I'm going to do a little bit of talking and want the mood to get there. Or if somebody does something immediately, or like when the battle starts, we just switch it up immediately, things like that. Absolutely. That sounds good. But we'll have to brainstorm specifically what kind of situations and moods that you want available so they can actually build it. Absolutely. Absolutely. So you're wild shaping? Yeah, to archer form. All right. And... How far away is everyone from me? This is roughly accurate, so like, Jables is like 10-ish feet away from you right now. Shouldn't be in the back. Alright, cool. That's not for sure. No, just out of curiosity, so if I'm already wild-shaped, I can't also then use the... You know... The bonus action? No, that is my bonus action, right? Yes. But like next turn, I wouldn't be able to do my Celestial Revelation without losing my Archer form. It's once per long rest, you transform using one of the options available to you. The transformation lasts for one minute or until you end it. It gives just a couple of options of things that I can... I can Sprout Wings, I can do Inner Radiance, or I can do Necrotic Shroud. Can you do multiple transformations It doesn't appear to conflict is the reason that I'm asking because none of those things physically change the... Yeah, because it's an ASMR thing. Because it like brings out your ASMR traits is what it does, like your heavenly and celestial traits. Right. So the question is can I do both that and my druid, you know. Because it doesn't give you like bonus health or anything like that. Nope. I do get the poor bonus health though, right? From 12. But I mean, that's my turn for this turn, so that one doesn't really matter until the next turn. At least. Yeah. It sounds like overall, yes, you can. You can move if you want. I don't know if I want to just stand by the door. But actually, it doesn't really matter for you. I'm used to playing my squishy caster and not a druid anymore. I have 40 health right now. I'm not really that afraid. All right. So, that's your church. Yes.

  • Okay. - Nine.
  • 19, nine, 20? - 12. - 12?
  • I think 20.

Especially since if one person notices it, they tend to point it out to their buddies. But there are about four swarms of like, I guess it just says four swarms. So yeah, there's four swarms of ravens perched on the rafters in this one. Sorry. For my familiars turn, he goes to like join one of the swarms to see if he can get their intent.

  • Trying to gain their intent?
  • Yeah, I mean, he's a raven, they're ravens. It's his turn, he can't attack anything, so.
  • He sees that they're ravens and they're hanging out.
  • But he has my abilities.
  • He does.
  • And my insight is quite high, my passive insight is 16.
  • But like he's not necessarily a raven with a personality, he's a spectral raven that you're controlling. So unless you can speak raven,

Yeah, I can. Is it true? I can speak to animals. When you can't speak with animals. But he's a raven. No. No. I appreciate the effort, but that's not me. It's you. Kind of. It's not like you're summoning Jim Bob the Raven. You're summoning a raven, which you take control of. Okay, well, he gets close. And that perch is near one of them. They don't. Thank you guys. But if that's your tourney or not. Yeah, yeah, that was my tourney, my familiar's tourney. OK, that's going to take it to Ivan, who-- I've got a point to my turn involved. Show how Ivan is this guy. So he, after barricading this door, is going to come back 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. And he's just going to kind of ready his action if he sees a twig wipe. Which takes it to these guys, which actually won't do anything with them yet because you wouldn't know. And then which takes it to my wolf compadres. So you guys are going to hear this door start having noises and this door having even more noises. That takes it to you, Greg. I'm going to use my turn to go up the staircase into that little rafter area you were talking about. And I am going to use Sleep of Animals on going up there. I'm going to go with that one running up there. Since we've seen those rings. And... - Animals and while I'm running up there, just ask the general question. So what's the deal with these, what are they called again? - Tooth lights. - So what's the deal with these tooth lights? I'm just gonna straight up ask them that question right off the bat as I'm running up there. Where you see Grey running up the fucking steps. As a druid, I feel like that's just normal. Doesn't everyone just run around squawking at birds?

  • They're gonna reply to you

Bad, bad, not good. I'm going to relay that to everybody in the room just because I think it's... Basically... No real information as of yet. Maybe we can come up with some better questions later. Looks like the Ravens want us to beat up on these things for them, you know? Yeah. In addition to asking that question, as I get to the top of these rafters, I'm taking a good position to aim this general direction because that's where we're hearing the noise from the storm. So I'm ready to make a short bow and everything. As I'm asking this question and relaying this answer to the crowd. Oh, man. I really had to resist my urge to shake this before opening it. I have so many dreams where you should shake them beforehand, because it's mostly teen stuff that I drink. Yeah, it might be a real fucking... At least they're not like super carbonated. Yeah. It's usually not too, too bad on Red Bulls. They lean heavy on the crack and light on the bubbles.

  • Turn otherwise?
  • Yeah, that's my turn otherwise. - You want this?
  • Yeah. - So, as you move yourself, you are going to hear...
  • I'm facing the other way.
  • The front door is gonna start actually moving and the barrels are gonna begin rocking back and forth as the... banging and the hitting on that door in particular is going to get rather intense. And then it's going to take it to this entity, which you wouldn't know what's happening there, which takes it to Ismark, who's in this room. And he would come busting out of this door and say, there are too many at this door already, and they're about to break in.
  • His door? - Yes, this door.
  • I just wanna hear it. From where?
  • I don't know! I don't know!
  • And does Gray upstairs, I know we can't see the balcony right now, but would he see any doors in, or is it just up there on its own?
  • It's its own little wooden balcony, so it doesn't even need anywhere.
  • I was just making sure. - I'm hanging out with him. - It's where the slave drivers drive the slaves that make them from war.

We could always cuz I bet is Mark and Ivan are kind of bitches We could have Well, if we have our arranged people I Get up where he is. So if you do anything, Rain, go up the stairs. We can at least funnel these things to the stairs and fight there. So I'll stand in front as long as I can. Yeah. Or we run out the back. I mean, funneling them here is probably our best bet for sure. IMO. IMO. Problem is, where I should go is in contention because I both do ranged things and non-ranged things. You can move in and out, up and down the stairs. That is true, that is true. I could probably, you know, be the block to the up for the other squish. Do we know what weapons Ivan and Ismark have? They pulled them out so we can see what they're... They each have swords. Swords. God, they're so dead. He's gonna actually go up here and take his full movement to be my... Yeah, he might have a fucking bow or something. He might be able to throw rocks. You know what? I have a crossbow that I could just hand to them. You'd lend me that, brother? Oh, I'll definitely take that. Yeah, I'll hand him my crossbow when it comes up. I'll give it back to you if we end up living. Well, if I die, I'll also give it back to you. I never use it because it's got less range than my other bow and it's the same damage, so... Yeah, I have a light crossbow that I could also give. That's Ismark that's up there. Ismark as he passes by. Yeah. Yes. So he'll take that, and he's going to ready his action to shoot the next twig light he sees. And that's a ticket to you, Jables. You're at the end of the round. I mean... Wait, did Ismark go? Yeah, he started over here. Oh, okay. I guess I'll just position myself and be ready to guard the stage. Now, I want to ready something. Because if they get close to me, I want to swing. But if they don't, I want to hit them with, what is it? I don't know if that's possible. The sacred flame for cantering. Yeah, I was going to ask if my knowledge that I got from my check before, do I know? for a fact that they have a particular fire weakness? I would guess so based on the name and looking at them. So it's going to be a shock. That's a pretty common kind of weakness, obviously. That's what I figured, but sometimes it's been-- Would we be aware of any other weaknesses that they might have? Yeah, is that something I could go on about? Would I be able to do that? Say that I'm holding my attack action for either melee or if no one's in range by my next attack, a sacred flame.

  • Yeah, if I see them. - Sacred Flames of Cantrip, right? - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  • Yeah, it works. - So if they're in range, I'm gonna swing, but if not, I'll Sacred Flame something if I see them.
  • Okay, done.
  • 'Cause I'm not gonna do it just on the first thing I see. I'll wait, you know?
  • That takes it to the top of the round, which is one of the twig blight entities. And let's see if he is strong enough to knock down a storm. Ooh, he is.
  • Is it the barrel?
  • Yes. So you guys are gonna see that the barrel is going to be pushed five feet and this door right here is going to be slightly open. And you're gonna see that there's like ten twig lights trying to shove their way through this door. Two groups. Yes.

That we know. Which, did you ready any actions? I mean, I turned into the archer, so technically I have the bolt always ready. That's true. Okay. So that is going to be its turn, but it shakes it to you. Okay. So for my turn, I'm going to go ahead and move. Let's see. It's 30, right? 5, 10, 15, 25. So I'm right here behind my boy. And... Can you spin? Just fucking eat that up. So I can see them, so I can target them now. The ones at the door? The ones at the door, like the very first two of the first group. How does this work? Do I attack the full group of five or? Yes. Okay. All right, so... They just, yeah, okay. They're like blocking in order and you're just working down the... We all get to take their attacks against you as a one-two. It's gonna be awesome. We get trample at least, right? Oh, yeah. I am going to use a second level moonbeam right on the entryway like Basically right here where this rock is. It puts a five foot circle, 80 foot tall cylinder, beam of light. 40 foot high, sorry. Five foot radius, so 10 feet. Oh, so it's, yeah. So it'd be like... I'm going to move in the barrels. And each square is five foot, is that right? Yeah. 5 foot radius, 10 foot diameter circle, 40 feet tall cylinder. Anything... Yeah, anything... Inside the circle does a constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d10 radiant damage, and if the creature is shapeshifted, then it reverts to true form. Well, on a successful save, they take half as much damage, so they still take damage even if they pass the save. And it's a concentration, so it exists for up to a minute, and as long as my concentration is not broken, I can move it within 60 feet of where it is at any time. So, let's make some- Oh, you can move it wherever you want. That's perfect. You read my mind. I mean, you sound kind of- That's perfect. Yeah. Like doing the math with the barrels. So, I'm that group Roman and- Well, it's, I guess it's 2D10 and then it's just halved if they pass, right? Right, right, right. The cool thing about Moonbeam, you're just always rolling it, you know? Yeah. These are both tens. Right. Yeah, it looks like they're diamonds. Yeah. And I just take off the zero on the one that's the-- So-- Double zero would be 10. 8 and 2, 10. 10 is a 5 hat. OK. Radiant. Excellent. Excellent. So you're dead? No. I am going to throw my bolt at that very first group that I can see. Is that a bonus action or an action? It's a bonus action. It's one of the coolest things about Circle of Stars. And it's a 1d8 plus 4. It's basically like it gives you a little attack cantrip that gets stronger as you level up. Interesting. Interesting. 4. Eight more radio damage. Do a single one of those guys? Don't you have to attack it first? Or did you already attack it? Oh, I have to roll the attack, yeah. Good. My roll plus proficiency? It would be proficiency and wisdom. Okay. So 18. Yeah, that hits. So it will do, you said 8 damage? Yes. To one of those, which is one of the, to 10 damage, just one of my general prime damage, one of them dies, it would be. Boom.

  • Paul just died right there, did you see that? You fucking nuked him.
  • Yeah, you nuked the entire fucking-- - My boy was on the 25 kill streak. - But yes, yes. One of the twig websites. No worries.

It's really only one turn and they haven't even made it through the door yet. Yes, that's my turn. Oh. You're about to love what's going to happen here. They're going to sprout up from nowhere and you can just feel it. I would never do something like that. You start crawling out the vats of... I would never have been Draegor-trusted. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. It's an action bag. 35, 40. On his way by, toss him that light crossbow. Thanks, brother. Thanks, brother. Or sister. Thanks, sister. Yes, yes. He's going to... He won't be able to rate his action because he used his action to dash, but he cut onto the plan pretty quickly. It's going to be his turn, which takes it to the group over here. So as you... Kind of like start really hearing a ruckus in this other room that Ismark was just coming from. You will see one group of twig lights get this far. That is five of them. That will be their turn. Actually, I think Ivan is going to use his action. Oh, nat 20s. Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh. Oh, boy, oh, oh. He's bugging out. Crossbow, what are the stats on it? Uh, 20. 1D6 plus like... We call him a bitch if he says what. Hold my beard. He's gonna deal 11 damage to one of the twig blights or needle blights which is gonna fuck one of them up really bad. Not killed him though. First shot was good. Pussy. Yeah. That takes it to the two wolves. Which, let's see, first one. Alright, second one. Alright. So this one right here, a bit more aggressively, is going to bust its way pretty much through, knocking the barrel over and spilling its contents. But these five needle blights are now in the room, if anyone has any triggering actions. Do they come in through the... do any of them touch the... So like, two-thirds of them I think would, as they bust through. It's a 15. Wow. One of them's really fucked up by that. One of them's really fucked up by that. But they're going to persevere nonetheless. In fact, that's kind of like an interesting area to have that because they've got to like... Go through it to get to us. I know, it's strategic. Strategic. Strategic. Or would they... Keep it there because it's technically something they can't... So they would have to kind of like, all right, so roll me 2d10 again as two more. They both fail. Seven. When this group gets in range of me, I do swing back. You'll get a swing? The one that got really fucked up by your... Actually, he wouldn't be affected by it a second time. He'd only be affected by it the first time. So you're gonna deal damage to two more of them, which they're still standing. Make your attack. When I do, I'm going to activate my channel divinity. Are you targeting anyone in particular? Just this group and probably the one that most fucked up. I just want to make sure. You're blessed, by the way, if that affects your roll in any way. I get to add that d4. And my sacred weapon, you know, now my weapon is flowing and I get just radiant damage. All that stuff. That's a dog shit roll, but it's still a 13. That does not. You're lucky there's sticks. Yeah, I know. Seven radiant. He dies. So one of those twin flights died. Down to a group of four. So there's two of them now with groups of four, I think. You obliterated one of them. Three, right? Because he also killed one. Well, you damaged one of them very badly. And then he finished one of them off. I thought I killed one on my... Because I did the moonbeam damage and then I also did the archer arrow. And one of them died. And then the one on his, he did the... The bolt, the crossbow bolt. That was this one. Each of these is down to one, right? Yeah, so that's what I said. So this one's down, one of them's down. Yeah, but this one too, right? All three of these are four. So he fucked up one of those. Oh, it's bloody. Yes, one of them's, yes. So you're right. Bloodied, dead, dead. Yes. Oh, this is going to be funny. Keep track of it. Don't get worried. Reaction. So everyone's taking their reaction to attack. They navigated this. You did your damage. So now it's going to actually be this one. And this group's going to also bust through. They're going to stand there for right now because they can't navigate around that barrel in the movie without getting fucked up. They're going to be like, ugh. So that's going to take it to you, Grant. Okay. There are about now 15 needle blights in this room with an additional four. No, it's not 15, but you get what I'm saying. There's groups. Yeah. So this exists. I know which way I was kind of facing before, but since this other grip has broken through the door, my thought now would be that everything that's going on, I am going to actually not use my short bow, put that in my hands. I want to instead use a red chromatic warp and this grip over here that is... So yeah, yeah, yeah, acquire grammatical error on this group here because, yeah, they're the ones that don't have people between them. Excellent, excellent. So I'm going to do that. Yeah. Oh yeah, that is. I know that it's 13, so anything, anything will do. It's a 10 damage. 10 damage? Well, and then we're blessed, right? To this group right here? Yeah. You murder one. That would have added to your attack. Your attack roll. Attack roll, okay. Yeah, it's 1d4 to your attack roll, or save and throw. So you murder the one that I've been natural. Okay. And then... I don't know that there is anything else that I necessarily can really do or want to do. Thank you. That takes it to Blonde. And Blonde is going to also try to force it. It's gonna take its full movement and it's gonna go right here which is going to make every single one of them pass through your moonbeam but there's no choice. Do you want me to trade one of the wolves out for this cat? No, because then it would be a bunch of wolves and it would no longer be blob, it would be wolf, wolf, wolf, and wolf. No, I meant one of the wolves for this cat. For one of these, yeah. No, it should be fine. You should. Because if anything, I'm just gonna go like this. We're gonna kill a wolf here soon, man. Take your moonbeam damage 15 15 radiant They're going to take their attacks. They didn't have to use their actions to bust down the door because their buddies had already bust down the door. So now I get to take some attacks. So Jables is having three attacks against him. Viridel is having two attacks against him. They can reach her? Yes. I'm just talking about the stairs. I'm just curious. If she's standing right next to you, she's not that far away. - Okay. - And they're like, they're mobbing. It's hard to describe here.

  • I'm not claiming their own stilts. I'm not claiming their own stilts.
  • Okay.
  • They're just a bunch of little scrappy twig people.
  • Pretty much. Pretty much. Scrappy is a good way to describe them. What's your AC here, Adele?
  • 14.
  • So we've got a 16 and a 14. So one of them's gonna be half, one of them's gonna be full. So let's see here. So that's gonna be 8 slashing damage for the first one, and the half damage is going to be... 3.

So that's 9. Uh, 8, 11, yeah. Yes. That is going to be the first one. Uh, that's both attacks against you, for reals. So now, Jables. Attacks coming against you. One of those is a nat 20... What's your AC? 21. And that's going to be the other one. 5 plus 9 to 14 slashing damage to you. And that is going to be their turns cumulatively, which takes it to the horse. He's going to be able to take his full movement to come through these doors just like his buddy and then he's going to action dash to get all up in y'all's face but that is going to be their full turn so now it is a party that takes it to Ismar who's like guys guys oh my god but he's gonna take his attack just shoot them can you blame him he misses oh my god he misses bro Calm yourself. You're always acting beforehand. That's not fair. Panicky motherfuckers. But you know, if you were in a room with like... I'm pointing the line. He's a bitch. Right. There's two people holding the line. You know what I mean? This is probably what he expected. J-Wolf. You've got roughly 14 to 13 twig lights in your immediate vicinity. It's time to smash. Well, you had like some kind of AOE ability. I know, all of my stuff was just like, fuck one guy up. If this was Thomas of Fireball right now... I know, dude, I'd be fucking everybody up. is there We didn't get to swing twice until next level. So I think... Hit another one of these motherfuckers. Which one crit me? Is he fresh or is he... He was one of the ones that got hit for 15 by Moonbeam, isn't he? Yeah. Oh yeah. That one. That one with a luck point. - So, the last, is that a thing?

  • Yep, I have not lost concentration.
  • Oh, you can't concentrate on two things. You have moonbeam.
  • I have moonbeam, yeah, so that's my focus.
  • I said 13, though.
  • That's it, and he dies. Let's take that group down to four. - You have like three groups of four. You have, put it all over. - Yeah, good.
  • So which ones are the fours right now? Is it this one, this one, and this one? This one's bloody.
  • This one is also four, no, because I killed that one.
  • So four, four, four, four, full, full.
  • So we have four groups of four.
  • In fact, I skipped this guy's turn, 'cause he's at the top of the round technically. - And it's an action. But yeah, that's fine. I'll give you guys that turn. Get out of the pretty fucking stuff. I'll bonus action give myself five health with Lay on Hands.

I'll just do six. I'm watching movies and shows I tend to not think as much. And so the context can be a little bit actually dried out. Yeah, I feel that. I'm going to do like a sprain. It happens to me too. Also when I play video games. Shutting up spit at all of these dudes. It's the only AOE I got. But every single one of them I can't. I can see it now. I can picture it. I'm going to yell at them. I'm going to say, I can spit more again. And then... Do they take that as a challenge? That's all I got. They're plants. I don't even know if they speak English. Common. I don't know if they even speak English. I know you know. I know that you know that I know. Do they speak Jewish? I'm going to find out one of these days, you know? One of these days. But not right now. It takes it to the top of the round. It takes it to the same group. We got denied last time. We won't be denied this time. They will be burned. They were getting knocked aside by the other guys bashing through the door. Pretty much. Now, what are they going to do? Because they can move through their comrades, but they can't move through y'all. Where are they going to stand? You know, they're going to go right about right here. What am I thinking? They're going to take their ranged attacks against you guys. Why do twigs have ranged attacks? It's needles. Because they're needle blights. I know, right? That's sick nasty. I don't know why I forgot to add it. So they're going to take three of their needle attacks against you, Jables, and two of their needle attacks against you, Iridelic. Put your dough first. 1460. 14 is basically so 60 minutes. So half. So the first one is going to be six piercings. The second one is going to be three piercings. So six total, because half of the six. Oh, okay. So there's 12 of them. Yes. So nine? Yes. And now, J-Boltz, the attacks against you. Your 21 AC. One of them We'll hit your AC via glancing glow. Two damage. Two halved or that's the half? Two halved. That's going to be their turn. Fucking Christ. That's why there's so many of them because they suck. I'll heal you on my turn if you can do more. You can do more with me. I'm not bloody, so. Oh, you're not bloody yet? Are you bloody? I said no. They said no. I said no. None of us are bloody. I've got two more spells left that I can use. I was just doing math, so I'm probably not just using that up today. What's about to happen in the new characters? And I've also got Firebolt after that, so I'm just going to be scanning Firebolt. Cool. Cool. Just an answer. All right. I am going to move the moonbeam. Oh, my God. Right up in here. Right up in there. A moonbeam action. Does the moonbeam effect happen now because it moved on to them so they are now in the cylinder? Yes. Can we do it in concentration for the moonbeam? No. Everything you've been taking? Do I have to roll concentration? Yeah, every time you take damage you have to take either half of the damage or ten, whichever is greater. So it's like the DC is ten. So like if you take one damage, you're rolling 10 minimum, but like if you take 50 damage, the DC would be 25. To maintain your concentration on whatever skill you're concentrating on. Okay, what am I rolling for that? Just roll one, and it's your con, yeah. Okay. Just roll one. We'll say that you passed all the others. 13. You're not proficient in your con saves, are you? I don't think so. That is something to keep in mind. Because my proficiency would be wisdom, right? Well, so like... On your saves, like on my sheet up there, like the filled in ones, I have proficiency on those saves. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Saving throws. You probably need your main wisdom. Yeah, int and wisdom are my proficiencies. Yeah, if you ever get to pick one, like for free scheme. Add it up. Yeah. Some feats and stuff come with it. Okay. Yeah, yeah. It'd be a good one to add if I'm able to add one. But it makes sense to keep. It on the ones that caused the damage. Yeah. So do they do their saves now or did they do it at their turn? They do those saves now but wrongly the damage. Because it's your first time entering. Well. Seven. It's the new round so yes. Yeah. It affects each group. So pass, pass. They're all going to pass. But two of them are going to die from that group, and one of them is going to die from a wolf, which leads that group down to like two. So green blob group has two, and wolf group has three. - That sounds right to me. All right, is that your turn?

  • Well, I got my bonus action. So I get to throw my arrow. I'm gonna throw it at the one that's a two. It's a 13.

Yes, it is. Okay. Oh, yeah. Not for damage, no. It's a 1d8 plus 4, I think. I've got to pull it up and make sure. Yeah. It's almost like a ranged weapon attack, but it gets your plus wisdom. Yeah, and it's a bonus action too instead of... It's super cool. It's either level 5 or level 6. One of them becomes 2d8. Why are these things so hard to find? I'm glad Cal took the opportunity. 1d8 plus 4. There's 30 of them. I said it's an 8 radiant. 8 radiant? It's one of those guys. So that group of blob is down to 1? I think? Yeah, it should be. Yeah, it was at 2. Blob's down to 1? And that's my turn. Alright, that takes it to Ivan. Is Ivan or Ismark the one that freaked out last time? I think Ismark's the one that freaked out. I think Ivan's the one that freaked out. I was going to kind of pat his heart on the back here. I think we're okay. He's got kind of a looky-dee-er down. He's going to give you a little wink. I'm going to roll my eyes at the wig. But he's actually going to deal just enough to take out the last one for this one. Nice. This is going to be his turn. Takes it to the green group. Green group. They're going to take their movement. - They can attack you or they can attack the people You're ugly! You're gonna try to... I yell at them, you know? You are? You're gonna try to get their attention? 100%. 100%. Alright, you get their attention. As you can see, they were actually contemplating on attacking either Ivan or Ismart in this next turn. Yeah, because we've been shooting them from out there, so I'm not surprised. We're like, you know, dicks! You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? Oh my god, they are instead... We're going to move up right here, and they're going to do their 3-2 attacks against you and Iredell. Iredell, two attacks going against you. They both miss. God fucking damn it. Very unsuccessful turn for Green Group. That takes it to Wolf Group. Don't fail me now. In fact, these decks are going away. It takes us to two wolf group. So the two wolves are going to do what they do. They're going to walk up right here. And that group, which I'm fairly certain this is one of the few groups that have still their five. So I think this is five and this is five, right? That sounds correct to me. That sounds sadly correct, yes. So they're going to take all five of their ranged attacks against you, we are going to. All miss. 13, 12, 11, 11. So 2, 8, 10, 16, 20 on the rolls. So... Two of them hit. 13, Tracy, right? 14. 14? Yes. Just two of them hit. One of them being an X. Yeah, I heard that. No one has silvery bars. No silvery bars? No silvery bars? That'd be cool. Not this time around. So let's see about the net 20. So net 20 is going to be, so that's for you, 8 plus 9. 17. 17. So roll me. 17. What kind of damage? Piercing? Piercing. Okay. So go ahead and roll me the first con check. And this one is 10. 11. 11. You maintain concentration. Second attack damage is going to be... 21 total. I am bloody. Make me the concentration again. 10 or better. Dang, 7. Alright. Brakes concentration on the moonbeam. That's cool. If you ever cast it again, it does the damage automatically at the start. All five of these next... Actually, no, four. I'm going to hang on to this. Because that wolf group has stayed right in front of me. Yes. free So I take it to you, Greg. So which groups have which status again? So this one, 5, 4, 4, 5, No, this one should be four because we killed one of them earlier. At least I killed one of them earlier. You might have just. So four, four, four, five, five. Okay. Yeah, I'm just going to attack the same one before. This group over here. Try that again. I'm using my chromatic orb again. Okay. Hit me with the roll. Is that the spell you're using is chromatic orb? Yeah. That's a good one. Make sure that if it ever gets any duplicate damage dice, it gets to bounce to another target. Yeah, I've been watching that. Oh, yeah. That's one of my favorite things about this. How does the inspiration stuff work again? If you get a bad roll, you can use your inspiration to re-roll. I need to re-roll this. Damn. That's a good time to re-use it. Let's see what I get. Nice! What's your minimum damage on that? Like what are the dice for that? 2d8? It was 3d8. It's already showing 6 on here. One of them dies. Roll me a d100. At least one of them dies. Yeah, 75. 75. 75 on the D100. Damage? On the D100. Oh, on the D100. Sorry, sorry. Wow, guys. Sorry. Yeah. I was thinking about the implications of the D100. Yeah. So... Because, yeah, because originally, I know it's originally 3D8s, and it's already changed from here. It shows 6D8s. Yeah, because normally we would do the max out three of them, and then you would roll three. So it would be 24 plus whatever D8. So go ahead and roll me the three, and with the 75, you are going to have... The 3d8 happened to the 1 and kill it and you're gonna roll me 3d8 and see if you can kill a second needlefly. I just wanted to get the... Yeah, clear it. Right there. I wanted to get the 6 thing off the board here real quick, so I'm gonna pull up those 3d8s that I'm gonna roll right now. D8s!

  • That's three, five, and a seven for a total of 15.
  • A second needle blight dies. So two of them die out of this group, reducing it to three. - That's flaming damage, right? - Reduces it to two. - Yeah, sorry, two, two. - That was fire damage, right?
  • Yeah, that was all fire damage. - So the extra damage is already calculated?
  • Well, yeah, two of them died.
  • Yeah, they exploded, so. Literally. Good stuff, good stuff. - Glorious.

Are you bloodied now? - Yeah, very. - I figured. I assume that's a 10. Yeah, after that, no, you know what? After that, I'm bonus actioning my mage hand to spin around in circles with a middle finger. Beautiful. Jeeves is a bad influence. I haven't been doing my familiar's turn. Familiar's helping out, right? If you perform the help action, which gives you at least a single attack. Can we just default that to what it does? You have to say it. You have to say it. Yeah. Can you make it pick up smoldering twigs from the edges of the dead twigs' lights and try to drop them all the way up? Draw a circle around the spinning finger that you have. Well, that is going to take it to the horse, which is down to four. I look at the horse. You're gonna take two against you, two against Irodele. Ah, cool. The two against Irodele are coming first. They're gonna miss. One of them's gonna hit with a 16, and the second one is gonna miss. Okay. Alright.

  • One of those is actually a nat 20.
  • And the other one I assume is.
  • Yeah, they would have to roll almost their maximum to hit you.
  • That's what I figured.
  • With their modifier.
  • Which is why they keep hitting the Blancys. - Yeah, or a nat 20 hit.
  • 'Cause there's even Blancys in a nat 20, yeah. - Exactly. So it's going to deal 18 piercing. I actually rolled max on the regular dice too, so it was double max on two deep wars.

I am unconscious, just for the record. Hmm? I said I am unconscious, just for the record. You're unconscious? Yes. You said it was 16? It's not this much. 18? Yeah. I was like, did I do that enough right? You're unconscious from the seven damage? Yes. Shit. Your deal is unconscious. That was the horse's turn. Are you bloody? Yes. Okay, it takes it to Ismark. Ismark is going to take his attack against the horse. Ooh, he's also going to nat 20, which I think with his damage currently, because it's 1v6 versus 1, it's going to roll. Yep, he's like a snarl. Is that all three of us on the balcony having nat 20s now so far? Yes, yes. Which he obliterates one from... The balcony is a lucky spot right now. This group's down to... That one's down to two right now. So he brings that group down to one. Which takes it to J-Bulls. I was trying to see if I had written down... I don't think I have a health pot anywhere. You guys would have been struggling to find something like that, but... There's one in the party inventory. I think there's one in the party inventory. I thought we all got... Unless we, oh, because we do some of the work. Yeah, I think we have one rep per lot. Yeah, a potion of healing, one charge. It's in the party inventory. You're throwing that to us today. We're in 12 hours. You're really fucking, I don't know, you have to take a lot out of me. - Yeah, 'cause I think we distributed them between the teams. - On the plane you're gonna get the .

  • After you guys use them up, I think I still have mine left over so I'm just like-- - I'm gonna drive to sleep.

There's one on me. So do both of y'all just have one left in? Is that what it is? I don't have one on me right now. At least it's not. I don't see it. I'm the only one who doesn't have one then. Which is fine. That's what I thought happened. Alright, guys. What do you do in the tables? Well, for my action, I will... I said action. You calm down. I will, uh, cure wounds, irritate them. Oh! You're gonna cure wounds! I'm okay with tossing money down if I need to use it at some point. So that's gonna be... Let's consider... Electro health for irritate them. Alright. Do you speak to the animals at concentration? Electro... That's a good question. I don't know if I should use it anymore after asking that question. It is not a concentration. Okay, well, make sure. It's just duration is 10 minutes. Yeah, that's right, yeah, 10 minutes. It's actually on hands. Myself a bit. Did that attack bloody you? I was bloody, yes, I was bloody. So I'm back conscious with that 13, right? Yeah. It's not like one or the other. I'm just rambling to myself nine. I was just making sure I got the full 13 that he gave me, you know? Oh, yeah. Mechanically. Right. And then I'll yell back at Gray that he might have to throw us a potion here in a bit, maybe. Actually, my inventory says I have two. You have two? Yeah. I don't know. I'm looking at my backpack. There's two in my inventory and one in the party inventory, according to my record. And I do try to track consumables properly. The only one I had, I had it erased because I used it. I thought that was the case as well. I have one in my inventory still, so I don't remember what it is. Well, then if Eridal has two on her, we should be fine up front. That's all four. I yelled that up. Eridal's like, I've got two. I'm like, okay. So, is that your turn? What would giving you one of those be like, would that be an action, a bonus action or a free action? We're right next to each other. Okay, cool. Cool. Yes. So that is my turn. Cause I, I need action bonus action. I'm not going to move. Let's go to the next techno mix. So at the beginning of the round, you guys are going to see four... Do I have any other spells that are aoe? I think it's jasper and everything else. It's not a bad one. No, I mean it's a great one. The fact that it stays. Right. As long as you can remain concentrated. I'm going to use these four minutes. But at the beginning of the round, you guys are going to see fly into view from the door, multiple doors. You are going to see these large humanoid ravens. that are dressed in these leather clothes. Much like this.

  • Are they basically like Aarakocra or? Or it's distinctly it's raven.
  • It's distinctly raven, but that's not a bad comparison.
  • End up butchering that species name or?
  • No, that's Aarakocra, yep. They're gonna join in the fray. One from right here, one from right there. - It's a good mini right there. - They're all good minis.
  • Yeah, but some of them are better than others.

So they are gonna go at the end of initiative after Jables. This one's pretty loud. It's pretty what? Loud. Oh yeah? Is that Brian's hand? And they are gonna take all of their attacks against these dudes. Some say he walks like elephant. Sometimes literally. Alright, so these were-ravens are gonna- oh. We already figured that out, it's cool. Yes! They do it every time! He's definitely not were-ravens. He's probably humanoid shit. Hybrid-looking animals. But they're not wolves. They're not wolves. They're a different kind of animal. You already told that the were-ravens were a thing, so this would confirm it. We've been kinda looking for them. Yeah. It's like a werewolf except you turn into a bird, but not a small bird, you're a big bird. Does that happen on the full moon? I got so many questions for them. Well, in a lot of lore it's like full moon is force transformation, but then they learn how to transform themselves. He lands his attack and takes this group out because there was only one left there. Anyway... All three of those are going to land that attack or their attack, which is going to reduce that group from five to two. That's going to be their turn, which takes it to their group. They're going to try to attack those guys. One's going to hit and one's going to miss. I'm gonna take a very weak attack, but it does not seem to bother them, which takes it to you, Irhild. Cool. Wait, did this guy go? He did. Yeah. They took their attacks. They attacked the two dudes around them. Cool, I just wanted to make sure. I pass one of the potions of healing over to my boy, Jables, to start my turn. For my action, I use level 2 moonbeam. you Face at the base of the stairs. Right in front of you. I know what you mean in the dupe. I'll go ahead and roll the damage. Big money. Give me 20. It was 11. Anytime you're getting above, you know, above 10, you're winning. What was it overall again, sir? 11. So 5 for passes. Right. Con. Yeah, constitution saving throw. On a failed save, creature takes 2d10. On a pass, they take half. Radiant. --would be reduced by-- Brings this one down to three and that one down to two. Cool. I'm pretty fucking sure. Oh, hold on. No, I'm definitely taking a bonus action. I should figure out which one's the best bonus action. He's my end. I'll go ahead and throw my luminous arrow. It's three and two now, right? And then four and four? No, that one was reduced from five to two. This one? Yeah. So this one's two, this one's four. Yep. This one's two, this one's three. Yes. Okay, so I'll throw my... Which one goes... This one goes before this one, right? This one goes first, then me, and then... See, it's the blue guys, then the green, and then the two wolves. So I'll throw my luminous arrow at the two right there. 8 plus 6 is 14. And then it's a 1D8. So seven, 11.

  • Excellent. One of those dies. So it's down to a group of one.
  • And, I am bloody. But that is all I can do. Yeah, it's our pastime.

All right. I'm going to use the Russian. Yep, that takes a diamond. We're going to take his attack. We're going to do just enough to hit. The last one in this group right hand. ...to the green who are dead. Dead. I take it to the two wolves which is down to just a one. And that's a one group of four. We're actually going to take two ranged attacks against Iridel and two ranged attacks against the wolves. One of them is a net 20.

  • One of them's a nat one.

It was a nat one and a nat 20. They're two roles. But the nat 20 is going to be 17. And now two attacks. Do you need your dough? Uh-oh. Roll a one. Four is against Jables, unfortunately, because other Nets wouldn't be able to see him, unfortunately. It's a three to one, which is bad, which is going to be five plus nine. Fourteen. Fourteen. Okay, that knocks me out. It's actually just enough by one, isn't it? Lord, that is going to be their turn, which takes it to you, Kree. First thing is, I'm asking these crows in the rafters, "Hey, are these guys friends of yours?" In relation to the new guys that showed up. Just because. Friends! Friends! Friends! Friends! I'm going to relay that to the group actually. I'm actually going to say that like, "Hey, the ravens say these new guys are friends." I'm going to say that a lot. Seems like it says they're attacking the things, but... Extra confirmation is always good. And then I'm actually throwing a firebolt at this blue horse guys that are still on the stairs right in front of everybody. Proximity? Three. I think it is. I think it is a roll. The blue bull's gone. And we are blessed, correct? You're not blessed. Nope. How long is that last? It's less about-- well, it lasts for, I think, either one minute or 10 minutes. But here, they'll want to concentrate on it. Oh, OK. It would still be going, but Moonbeam was a higher priority. Moonbeam was fucking slapping. It tracks. I wanted to ask if our-- it's at 14. Nice. Hell yeah, it does. It does. And it's six. As my bonus action, I'm going to discontinue the group action with my magic hand because of the friends and I'm just going to get dissipated. I'm just going to be like, let's not make a bad impression on the new friends. All right, is that your turn? Yeah, that's my turn. That takes two to the horse group, down to two, taking their attacks against Jables. Because they don't like Jables, let's see. That's crazy. That's like the third time this pink on pink dice right here has rolled that net 20. That is crazy. You know what's funny is she takes away dice when they roll bad, but when they roll good she's like, that's crazy. Why would I put that one away? I haven't used her in a while and now she's performing. That's going to be 14. It doesn't matter how much it is. You're down? 14, J1's down. You're down here, though? All right. It takes it to Ismark. And Ismark is going to look great. He's going to be like, so? What do we do? Can you heal your friends? That's fucking rude. That's gonna be my question for the healing potions. Is that something I can like tip into their mouths and have it? Not rules as written, but we allow that. Okay, that's what I was gonna wonder because I know I've got potions and they've got... You've got potions? I have a potion. So I have a potion on me and I know they have... Did we use one? No, I just passed one to him. You just passed one, so what is it, one for each of us right now? Yeah, at the moment, yeah. Okay, are they, would that be something where I could like... Do you want me to try or do you want to be the one to do it, is Mark asked? I mean... Because I don't want to answer. I know what the answer is. I know what I want to answer. I'm still full of hope right now. Still got my telehealth too, so... I'm just gonna use my potion. Well, it's Ismark's turn is why he's asking. Oh, yeah, okay. That's, yeah, that's a good question. It's to him now. He's wondering, like, do you want me to try to heal your friends or do you want me to continue to attack? What do you think? I'm sorry, I can't heal you. No, I'm not gonna do it. It should probably be best to get them up faster. I'm gonna throw in my potion and say... Get down there as fast as you can, we're closest. Because he's the one that's like, actually right on the stage right now. Yeah, he's standing right there. Yeah, so I'm going to toss up my potions, like, take my potion, and uh... Do you like the paladin, or...? Yeah, who do I want to give it to, is the question. Um, when you come back here, we're going to like, push that button. I'm like twitching, like... I was like, give it to the paladin. I was like, who do you think is strongest? The regular one, right? That's 1d8 plus... I should see that. It's 2d4 plus 2. 2d4 plus 2? Who rolls that? He's going to roll it? He's going to use his action to try to actually administer it to you at fold. So whatever the maximum of that roll. So what is that, 10? 2d4 plus 2? Yeah. I just accidentally did. Is there an undo? I just deleted something I didn't want to do. Because I kept on going. I don't know if there's an undo. That is an excellent question. That is going to have to be his full movement and his action. So what else would he do? He doesn't have anything else to do. He's going to stand right there. What'd you take it to you, James? I'm the same one. Thank you. or We'll figure it out one way or another. I don't know. Most of the stuff that's in my backpack is just random. If you find yourself in a situation where you swear you had something and you don't, you just add it.

  • Okay, so what's happening with the potions? I was reading.
  • So Ismark utilizes full turn to action, give him 10 HP, which takes it to Jables. Jables is figuring out what he's doing.
  • Yeah, for my turn I'll use my action to fully use my potion for Iridel.
  • Iridel gives up with 10 HP. And you actually have one point of exhaustion now from going down at least two times.

Yeah, I did go down twice. So it's a level one exhaustion, right? Yeah. And then for my bonus action... I'm going to lay on hands myself. I don't know if I'll leave one. Your tail's reading rather intently. Can you read that? Uh, yeah. I get that. I'm planning my next moves very carefully, you know? I get that! I get that. Oh no, I'm not gonna do that. That's right. I'm not doing my way on hands. I used my bonus action to fucking shield the face myself again because it fell off when I got knocked out. Is that your turn? I'm like exhausted, but I'm spitting on these guys. It's mostly blood. You can spit blood. I mean, spit doesn't have to necessarily mean spit. You can spit things that aren't spit. That takes it to the four ravens who are going to take his attack against this guy, which I think is down to a group of two, two, three. I don't think there's more than that. So they're each going to spread out their attacks. So the one closest to the group is going to hit. The two hit it. They're rolling really well on that one. So let's see if I can-- This is down to a group of Right here, take the last two in this group out. So you can only do one bonus action per turn. You can't do a bonus action as a primary. Which is dumb, but that is how that goes. And this group is brought down from four to three. Three and one. Yep. Which would take it to blue, but they are dead, which takes it to ear dump. 10 health Iridale. 10 health and a fucking dream. Are you bloody? Well, I mean, yeah, I'm bloody, but there's three and one left. So, I mean... I have the same as you. I got brought up with a full health potion. Yeah. But I do have my shield of faith back, so I'm jacked on the front lines. I got that false confidence. Confidence? Yeah. That's funny. I'm Frankie standing in front of a train. You guys don't want to fight 30 more needle blights? I can fit more, yeah. I'd say just waddle it. All Jables has to do is ask. And I can put my knees right back on the battlefield. So probably... Just, uh... See all of my starry forms. So. I think I go ahead and moonbeam the three, right? Primary. Yes, boom. 30 Tens. or Is it three and a one? And then I'm going to go ahead Okay. into my chalice form. I think that's gonna do it. That's give me four temp health. All right. That takes it to Ivan. Who he's going to take is a tech. Unfortunately, this time around. So he's gonna, yes, that's gonna take it to the two wolves, which is down to one wolf, which is down to just a group of three, which they're gonna take. What are they gonna do? None of them died to the moonbeam? No, only did four damage. Four damage. Wow. But we're told. We went so loose. Yeah. So, I think they're going to spread their attacks out evenly. There's three of them. One against Jables, one against each where Raven closes to it. Jables... It's going to be Atlantic. 21 again? Huh? There was a 21? Yes. - All right. And we've still got one. One and then three. One and then three. Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and try to get rid of this group. I'm just going to throw a fireball. Fireball. I was like, fireball? Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm dead. That wasn't that long. You don't have inspiration? I'm not using it already. - That's how I got the .

  • We're only at 300.

Thank you. You're going to hit one of your buds. Roll your d6. D6? Let's see which one of your three butts standing right there you hit. Hopefully not me. Three. You are unfortunately going to hit a year and double. God damn it. Couldn't have gone. It was a damage roll. Why did this not happen when they rolled a one and a 20 on me? Yeah, they didn't hit their friends. The needle did. Mm-hmm. At least let him hit the NPC. Come on. I know. I'm about to worry. The amount of times Garrett hit me with his fucking bow. That's not enough to kill you, that's enough to make you feel very worried about it. No, not more worried than I was already. Very worried. Yeah, I'm going to as my bonus action scream, holy shit, I'm so sorry. Get your head in the game. I got cocky after that. I got cocky after that. So you do yell this out of your mouth? Yeah. Yeah, I do. specifically yelling, you are going to see... This is for you. - His turn, nothing happens yet, sorry. That takes it to the horse.

  • Oh, I was trying to .
  • And we have two left.
  • I thought they had one.
  • One left? - One left, yeah. - Okay, they have one.
  • Which is why I was trying to have one in three. That's why I was trying to throw one last fireball at him. Hitting you. And of all things, hitting you does make sense out of the way things are angled because you are the first one directly in line.

Yeah. It takes it to Ismark. It missed its only attack, so it takes it to Ismark, who's going to also miss his attack. Shameful. That takes it to you, James. Shame for shame. Strike him down with a luck point. There's one little bitch in front of me. Guaranteed death. It's a 24. I guess I don't have that active right now either because I got knocked out I think. Does that just last? I'm going to hit it either way. I'm just going to see if I did my radiant damage or not. Because it's an 18 without a fire. Or no, it's still a 30-20. Is it? 30-20, yeah. The six, eight slash-- That takes out the last one. Yeah. I can basically heal us to full on my turn. But if you don't, you know, if you want to do that, Kim. I'm just going to chill for now. Do a little hop over the railing. Like, ah, ah, ah. Like, just further block off those from the stairs if they come towards it. I just get blood everywhere. I'm sure. Oh, I'm sure. There's blood all over. Okay. Is that your turn? Mm-hmm. That takes it to the Ravens. --is going to walk up to you, group of three. And he's going to say-- in common. It is kind of strange to see his bird. He's going to say, there are more. Of these things? Like outside? One upstairs, more outside. And he is going to... He's gonna fly over there and he's gonna take his attack against him. He's gonna tweak blind, he's gonna hit. He's got one or two of them? I think it's two of them. What, that wolf? Actually it's three of them. Okay, so it's just two of them now. Because he killed one. Killed one. That takes it to the end of the round. And lo and behold. You are going to see a figure come down from the stairs you saw that lead up. He's going to be kind of a scruffy looking man with a staff in his hands. I'm going to put myself in this instant. He is going to-- His staff is his focus and he is going to try to attack you guys. Final wave attack. Are we going to miss? That's the upstation. So right here and then he passes his turn and he's gonna go at the end of the round as well. Enjoy the wait. That takes it to your deal. I'm within touching distance of my bloody boy over there, right? Yeah, I just jumped over the railing. So I'm gonna use my action to do Healing Hands on Jables. So that's 2d4 healing. That's five. Because of my chalice, I get to do... After five, you're still bloody. With the Chalice I get to do one more... I get to heal one more person within... 30 feet 1d8 plus 4 which I will use Oh wait, that's with a spell slot. So the healing hands doesn't technically do that. So I'll use healing word. Right? I'm reading the mechanic correctly. If it says it has to be a spell slot. Yeah. So then I'll use healing word as my bonus action. My boy, Jables. So it's QD4 plus 4. to six and now i get to do my chalice trigger yeah so you've got 11 total five then six are you still bloody five then six yeah i'm exactly bloody if i got 11 okay well in that case i'm going to use the bonus action on myself Not the bonus action, but like the trigger. Yeah. The chalice trigger. Which is 1d8 plus 4. Six for me. Damn, it was just all low rolls. If they were higher rolls, it would have been better. But I am no longer bloody. That is my turn. Except for my familiar, I am going to use them to do the help action against these guys for whoever it is the next person. My familiar does the help action. I assume it's against Druid Boy that just came into play, right? Druid Boy or the wolf? Which one? The guy that just casted Vine Whip or this... I was thinking the Needledicks because they go first. Needledicks. All right. There's two of them, right? Yes. Still in that party. So after you take your turn, then takes it to Ivan, who's going to take his attack. He misses. That sucks for him. Then takes it to that group of vine blights, or needle blights. There's definitely another kind of blights that are around. They're gonna take both of their attacks against different ravens. I'm gonna hit them with this. They don't seem too phased, which is good. That takes it to Greg. Alright, I'm going to take my focus to the new guy that just came in since nobody's done anything to him. And also because, oh wait, sometimes. Search. You said like, struck me looking dude. Is this like a human or is this also a real life? He's a human. A human? Yeah, just for the... Yeah, I'm gonna switch to using my short bow and I'm gonna shoot this guy with my short bow. We can still sneak it in. Which, the wolf? No, the druid guy. Whoever, yeah, the guy that just came through down the stairs. Focus isn't on you. Yeah. Can you give yourself advantage? It says I don't need advantage, is it just one of my allies within 5 feet? Are they within 5 feet? Of you, but not the enemy. Yeah. Okay, so within 5 feet of the target. So yeah, that's what I was saying, they're not within 5 feet. No, unfortunately not. Yeah, so I need to have advantage. I don't think I have a way to do myself. Okay, I understand that. Only if I had already hit it with the short. It doesn't have damage on the next attack. Actually, didn't Noir Dill use the help action on the boot board? Yeah. So that would give me advantage on those. But I wanted to make sure I was using every advantage I had. So I'm just going to roll third with my short though. Yep. All right, that takes it to Ismark, who's also, I'm afraid... He's probably going to move over here and take his attack against one of my remaining good blights. With advantage? He misses with advantage. Well, it's the next attack, and someone's already attacked it since then. A crow has. Gray went right after me. Attacked this guy. I thought Ivan did. I even did an attack where he missed, I think. I don't know what his attack was. Does he have advantage? He's got even a lower roll than his first fucking roll. That's crazy. Jable. At least that absolves that. Definitively. So God, there's still little dickbags alive. I hate those things. Little dickbags. Dick bags, he says. I did. Is that what I called them? Heard it here first. But those things get opportunity attacks. I don't like that. I'm going to... - Your sacred flame for my action. - Next save.

  • Next save.
  • Looking for a 14.
  • He passes. - He passes?

He doesn't take anything on us. I'm just gonna like, you know, I'm not hiding, you know what I mean? I'm just on the opposite side of this bat from that guy that's casting Vine with the people and stuff. I'm like leaning on it like, you know? I'm just tired. I'm not hiding. I'm just tired. For sure. It's the strategic, you know, like, I've had a lot of you guys. It's called taking cover. Yeah. Yeah. What do you guys think? Two hits against the good vibes are going to hit. Dead. Dead. So that twig blight, or-- This? Yeah. Those needle blights, should I say, are dead. And then they're going to deal damage to the dude. OK. That is their turn, should I say, which is going to take it to the druid. And on the beginning of his turn, So you're going to see two vine blights in here. And vine blights are much larger. So they're medium humanoid creatures. - Moving to come all the way over here. Bang. - Take some opportunities. sick nasty. I don't know why I forgot to add

  • One of them is gonna have one opportunity. And then each of them are gonna take their single attacks against the respective raven. Boop, boop. One of them's gonna hit, one's gonna miss.

I am going to starry wisp the druid. Yeah. That's a 19. So get a 1d8 and then he also ends up emitting light for 10 feet. He emits light and can't become invisible. So that's five damage. And then I'm going to Healing Word. My boy Jables over here. Oh, shit. I'm about to run in there again. 2d4 plus four. That's going to do it. That's going to be no longer bloody. That's eight plus four. - Twelve? - Twelve.

  • Oh shit.
  • And then I get to 1d8 plus four myself because of Chalice.
  • Oh shit, Jemma's looking pretty fucking healthy.
  • And that's 11 for me. - Over there like, "Oh I knew I needed this little breather behind me." - So I'm also no longer bloody and that's my turn.
  • It takes a diamond.
  • Can we take a, like a short-- - Yeah, oh yeah. A short soft hit? Is that what I just heard? A couple of hits. You know, hit the food and the sob and the sick.

It was just Erniello's turn, so it's almost you, but there's NPC in the way. Do you have a lighter or a bigger? Never mind, let's talk about it. This one's kind of a one-handed. Discord if you have. Do you have Discord? Oh yeah, I don't. I don't think I have it installed up here, but I can install it. Oh, you don't have to. I was trying to think of another way. Well, you know what? If I'm putting it on here, I have Discord on my phone. I can actually just pull up the link on my phone and see what I'm talking about. That's how I'm always sending links to myself. Like that last... It was a demo that you sent in that Subtronics voice chat. Is that the one that you're working on right now? This is actually a new... Another new one. I can't remember, did I send a version of this one in there or not? I'll look, because I have it sent to myself on Discord. I need to like... Do you have two Discords? To see if there's a way to continue conversations. It was called 2D&D. Okay, yeah, yeah. This is an even more updated version of this one because I didn't have a name for it. Now it's called Shades because the one that I had before was called Shapes and I haven't officially released it yet. So this one was also like I was working on trying to do different colors of things in different ways or whatever and then it's been styled as Shapes and Shades. Put it together, make a little alliteration thing. But yeah, I'm going to put it on this one. I hope I don't have to re-log into Discord. What was your name on here? I'm sure it's changed since the last time I was here. Isopane? Or Baileyman? Isopane. I see you got a notification immediately. I barely had my finger off the button on my phone. I'm listening to a version all the way over here, and I already had some notes for things I wanted to change. So I went ahead and changed notes, and now I'm going to use some of them. They were things that I could be clicking. - You know your software well enough that you know exactly what the changes are going to do. There's one hitting the saw if you want. coughing Oh, that's a big one. Well, I didn't mention my last name. That's so bad. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. - Mm-hmm. - It's been pretty good though. - Yeah. Just 'cause there's no wine that means.

  • All righty then, gentlemen. - Did you rip this job? - Mm-hmm. - I also wanna rip it once as well.
  • Yeah, I hope they got over there to do it.
  • We all gotta get this time.
  • I'll go get it real quick.
  • Mm-hmm. - Oh, that shit's good. - I'll let y'all rip it, too. - Mm-hmm. - Mm. Wow, that shit's good. - I got over here.

While we're waiting for that to get started, you should play the song for a second. Yes. This is what I was going to play earlier. This is the-- when I was initially brainstorming that idea about the music set up for D&D that I was talking about, I was pulling out that little studio and just making a quick loop real quick, just kind of demonstrating. This is what that eventually turned into. Thank you.

  • I think you masterfully did this. - You wanna rip it first?
  • Mm-hmm. - Mm-hmm. - I have to stop myself from not eating it. I'm gonna go to the s'more thing. - Did you eat the butter?
  • Hmm?
  • Did you eat the butter? - No. Oh, is it 'cause I clicked away? Oh, that's how the sound lab works. That's my bad. - Maybe, yeah. - Mm.
  • You must have to. - There it is. - Oh, it's probably just because it's in a discord.

I think we're about right here. A little bit more than everything else. My nice head voice that I have rolled off on the bass pretty heavy. Yeah, it's just a pretty typical common problem. Anyway, especially with this open head back headphones, it's really hard. But I'm always going to be on the base when I'm listening for a moment. They're surprising the one with the lows. Their clothes are bad though. They have the ability to do that. I'm really happy with them. I need to use them more. I haven't neglected them. Do I have to take the inspiration or do I take the fire? Yeah, I'm pretty inspired myself. Can I stop you bloody anymore?

  • Do it if it happens to me again, but. - Is that in there? - Okay, cool. I hope so, but there was inspiration, it wasn't like. There's something that can only happen every so often. It's not like I just had 10 inspirations stacked up. Hi.
  • I've been, and it's funny, 'cause that's right when the song ended, so that's perfect timing. Perfect timing, that's good stuff.

I really like that. - The little changes I made were exactly right. 'Cause that synth part, that like, trebly-lead synth part was way too quiet. And in general, all the trouble was just a little too low and the base was a little too high. Basically, the whole tilt was a little bit like this. All right. I did it purely by eye and by numbers, so I'm glad it sounded decent. We'll have to see how it sounds in my cards. I may have taken the base down a little too much. So that is Ivan's turn. And Ivan would take his attack against... I did call my health action, right? It's not too late, so... That guy? Okay. Is this third dice right here a barrel? Let me get that out of the way. Yeah, I think all the dice on the board are barrels, I think. It's just those two are the vines, and that was a barrel. I did not know about the vines. I think I missed that. Do you want to stick two more minutes? Two vine blights. Okay. They are much larger, stockier versions of... But just two of them, right? Two swarms of ten. No. If you want it to be... Nope, nope. It's one each. He is going to attack the druid with advantage. Alright, I'm just going to shoot my bow again and hope it actually hits this time. You will get advantage because you do have allies with the 10-3. That's true. Yeah, so I will get advantage for my sneak attack and all that kind of stuff. They are specifically friend-friend. Friend-friend. So, yeah, I'm just going to roll for my short bow shot against the druid guy, same guy that I was shooting at before. Okay. So, and we roll that hit. And that is a 14.

  • That's a good frame actually.
  • Is that a Glancer?
  • Boop, that hits.
  • Is it? - No. - Since it's a sneak attack, it's 2d6. So it's nine total plus two, 11. So I hit him for 11.
  • 11, excellent.
  • Is he bloody?
  • He is for Matt, not bloody.

And I'm just gonna leave it at that. Nothing else to do. Is Mark is going to take his attack, because why not? He's gonna miss, unfortunately, but you know, you can't hate him for trying, Jables. Like a fucking rabid dog, I'm sprinting over there. I think I adjusted on 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. I'm getting the teeth. I'm going to use my sacred weapon as a swing item. Now it's all glowy and stuff. Okay. All glowy and stuff. I'm going to use my inspiration. As one does. That's going to be an 18 to hit. That is. I'm going to use my Paladin Smite on him to also do a bit of damage. So it's going to be what? 2d8? Where's my Divine Smite? Yes, sir. So for my sword, we'll do 4 Radiant, and then my... - Mike will do Nine radiant. How much total? Thirteen. Thirteen, excellent. He does not like that. I'm going to activate my trait, because I did radiant damage with a spell. Use two of my hit dice to fucking fuck him up a little bit more. A little bit more. A little bit more. So it's going to be five more radiant damage. Excellent. You have a lot of damage. It's chomping at the bit. It's chomping at the bit. I can only do some of them so many times. That's one thing I don't have. I basically just do... I don't have layers of effects and stuff yet. That's what paladins are good at. Once you hit someone, you get to stack stuff. Yeah, that's pretty awesome. That's how smite triggers, and so then I got an ability that triggers off of my radiant damage. It's very fun for Gray to watch from a distance as he just like destroys these people. And I sit here just like, "Oh, what the fuck?" I just count my dice that way. And then I stand there menacingly. That takes it to the four radians. We are all pretty much standing around. Hmm. Seeing you do the damage that you just did, they're going to actually take their attacks against these vine blights that are now standing right next to them. They do decent damage to these vine blights. Thomas! He's trying to break all my nipples. Baraka's just laying on his stand in my office. In four pieces? Yeah. I've lost some of these. You don't say. I'm happy you didn't see it last, but you probably just regret it. One of the attacks is going to hit. Oh, okay. That takes two to Druid. You're going to see him kind of hold his staff in the air and it's going to start radiating this kind of sickening energy. And you are going to see him actually have a few more groups of live lights materialize. So upon him doing that, that is going to be his turn. The Ravens are going to look at you, Thomas, and they're going to say, "Destroy the staff." As quickly as you can. Thomas? Jables. Jables, sorry, sorry. The name in another campaign. I'm looking in the mini. It's this guy, actually. So, it's the mini. It takes it to the vine blights and then all the other blights that have spawned. So we're gonna focus their attacks. And they don't get summoning sickness? That's not cool. In D&D, no. They're only groups of three, they're not groups of five. So it's one, two, and then six? This is the best. One of the mega, not one of the mega. Have him roll a D-100, motherfucker. That is the other ones. Dice were rolling deep in the car just a moment ago, and now they're not. So that was that group, that was this group. One of the ravens is bloodied. Okay, I am going to use one of the four charges of guiding bolt that I get for free with my map. On Mr. Drudy here. I do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I am actually going to use it. Take the five, plus six is 11.

  • Unfortunately, wait.

Okay, so 46. And then you just mapped the reduction, right? Yeah. 5, 10, 15, 7. And then the next hit against it, or the next attack has advantage. That's part guy goal. Nice. And then... Yeah, you should still practice. That's what I figured. Yeah. Okay, and then I'm going to use produce flame. Get that fire in my hand. That's my turn. This dude's got to be super bloody. He's got to be super, super bloody. Very bloody. I am going to have my familiar do the help action against... Yeah, that one. Yeah, I mean, yeah, because he already has advantage on the next attack against him again. Yeah, exactly. So then there's advantage on both of those groups, him and the group. That takes it to Ivan, who is going to take his ranged attack against the Druid. Let's see who he gets. Come on, Ivan. He's going to try. He does hit. Let's see if he does it though. He did it pretty well. Did you give him the advantage from the guiding bolt? No. See if he nat 20s. I bet he does. He does what? He does nat 21 the second. My boy. That's my boy Ivan. That's hilarious. He kills him. So the druid has died. You just turn him over. I gotta break that staff. Or steal it. You don't have to break it anymore. I did tell me to destroy the staff. Yeah, but you know, if it goes into good hands. Yeah, we'll see what happens. I'll grab it for sure. Oh, it's my turn? Sorry. I was catching up on the death. And now that that guy's dead, that's who I was focusing my attack on. I'm just gonna go for closest group. There's advantage on this group. Well, he gets advantage anyway if it's not targeting him. Yeah, there's anybody within my feet or whatever. Yeah, so... These are the most hurt men probably. Yeah, so you could probably knock one of them out or something. That's true. They were the first ones. Those are the blind guys too. Yeah, all of them right now are blind guys. I was just making sure to switch you back to my firebolt. Did I use moonbeam twice or three times? Twice? Just for the sake of using my extensive range. You used it once here and once here. Did you use it there, Dan? No, I think I moved it. I used it and then moved it and then used it. So I should actually have one. Oh, spell slot's still open. Which second? Sorry. No, that's cool. Because I was trying to decide which target. I'm definitely going to, for the sake of using my extensive range with Firebolt, I'm going to pick off this for this one to see if I can take it out with my Firebolt. You're good. Is it... is it... at least bloody it? As like plants bloody? Toasty?

  • Pussy.
  • Bait. - As if it's fire damage with it, I guess maybe.

Is that your turn? Uh, yeah, I mean, I don't have anything else I can do besides one attack, really. There's nothing else I can think of that would help. It takes us to Inmar, who's gonna take his attack, and let's see, he got dog shit tables. Um, I'll, uh, I should probably keep my shield out. So I'll put up my long sword to grab the staff off the ground. Do I notice anything from it when I grab it? Like it's for sure a magical staff. Like do the plants around us treat us any differently as I control it or no? Roll me a perception check now that you have it in your hand. Actually, no. Never mind, that wouldn't apply on this. So no, don't make me do the perception check. It's like, it's a spongy black length of wood. For sure, but... In the midst of battle, unless you try to do anything to like... I don't even know if you could unless you identified it. Do you have identify? I do not have identify. I wish I did. I checked earlier to see if it was a paladin spell. It's a good fucking spell. What is it? What class? It essentially tells you almost everything about a magic item if you use it on it. Curse? Probably like warlocks. I know warlocks can, yeah. I don't know if my sorcerer can have it or not. I don't because the warlock has it. I know, I know, I know, I know. And they don't... But like as I hold this staff in front of me, I hold it in front of the plants, I can't see them like obeying it at all. They just look the same to me. They look the same. They look the same. They look the same. I think I'm going to break this thing. Because I've already been friends told me to break it. But... Put it in the right hand. It can probably be maybe fixed. You breaking it? I'm thinking something's with the birds totally. I'm listening to the ravens. Okay. Because they saved our asses. I'm going to break it. Yeah. I'm going to break it. Yeah. So as you're going to break it over your knee, the wood is going to release a terrible inhuman scream. And then all lights. ...in your vicinity will immediately wither and die. Fuckers. You could've killed him. Good job guys. Good job. I have Moonbeam left. That's also zero heals. That's also zero health potions. I had two healing words left and a healing potion. That leaves you low in the... You could have made it. You can't do them all in the same turn. You can't do the healing potions and then... I mean, you could do the Moonbeam, you know. Yeah, I could do the Moonbeam and then the healing word and then the healing word triggers another healing action. You can't do the Moonbeam and healing word in the same one. No, you're right. But I could do them in two turns. We're gonna fix the staff maybe. We could've done it. There's more of us than there was then. There's as many of us as there was then. I would say I don't think so. Dude, there were like nine of them. More. How many were these? There was like four, three. Three, so nine, eleven. Careful. What do we got? Five. They outnumbered us by two. Yeah, but they were little bitch plants. Those were not the same. I had a fire in my head. I've seen that fire before. Level up. Level up. Oh, thank Christ. Do I... No, we don't get our spell slots. We get the new ones. You get health. Yeah. Get all your health. What did you do, Basil? I was already basically healed. One of these were-ravens is also going to shape-shift into the form of a man and he looks like this. I forgot I put my handouts on this computer, not my other computer. That's what he looks like. So shiny, baby. Is he your dog? Yeah. That's the guy we just knocked out? No. That's our friend. One of the were-ravens. One of the were-ravens. Shape-shifted into that guy. Nice. You want to call it here? It's 9:30. I can keep going. I don't have anything to do. My cat has been fed, so we can keep going for a little bit longer if you want to wrap up, level up, and maybe talk to these people a little bit or something. Sounds good, sounds good. Take your time leveling up and let me know when y'all are ready. I don't think I actually get anything for this level. Level five? I get two more prepared spells. It looks like that's it. Well, it may be probably like a spell slot or two, but I'll see that in a minute. Yeah. If you get another lovely spell slot. We also, our proficiency goes up to three. That is actually pretty huge. Yeah, that raises a lot of stuff. I wish it gave you more of an indication of which things are good. That's a valid complaint right there. This is a very bad place. I guess is it just the stuff that says fifth level? That would make sense. Yeah, so like some cantrips and stuff, I believe, will get a power up this year. Things rolling, you know? Yeah. There's a strawberry moon out there. Let's just let Tim help go away, by the way. Does it go away on a long rest? On a long rest? Or you get hit. Oh, you get hit. How do you get hit? Y'all played that well. Can I bribe you to do something? No? No? It's impossible. It's impossible. I'm free. It takes your guidance from who keeps it in. - Once all the bombs put up because like he's two weeks away from leave. - I'm gonna empty out my, I didn't get my high straight. - I have no problems doing that after we're done with this. - No, my, because the AC man comes, I have a little spot cleared out where my shit just goes down here because the AC man did so many minutes so I'm like ready to go.

  • This is when the person comes over and is like, People don't complain. Average.

I didn't have anything much to do. I just wanted to read a poem on the new subway. You got some new stuff?

  • That really helps, I guess, what helps you I'm ready.

All right. I'm just looking at the camera to see if I want to change something, but I'm basically ready. Yeah. The old man that will shape-shift and come greet you guys will say, hello, I'm Davian Martikov. Thank you for helping us clear those vermin out of our vineyard. What brings you here? Surely you're not here just purely on coincidence. Repeat that name. Davian what? Davian Martico. D-A-V-I-A-N. It doesn't screw on all the way anymore. It works.

  • Sorry. That's what brings us here. Big. It's been a while. I'm always ready.

It's the same other way. I don't remember what to do until you say, come on. I'm not reacting nearly that fast. I mean, you're directly opposite me, so it would be...

  • I'm like D hitting the button, you know what I'm saying? Breaking the shit.
  • But yeah, we're here because we heard that there was trouble with wine shipments not making it to, what's that city's name?
  • It's been multiple places now.
  • Yeah, across the region. - Blackie. We promised Erwin, right?

Erwin? Erwin Mardiga. That we'd come see him. Hopefully he's doing well. He seemed healthy when we left him. His father would exempt you to hell. But at least he exempts you to hell. Well, I have to thank you again. And yes, not surprisingly so. I'm sure you heard that we supply a client for all of the Rubia, so. It is good that we have it, but although we are still in need of your help, if you are willing to lend us your aid. I definitely would like a night's rest before we partake in any additional action. You can absolutely stay the night. Say like, yeah, what time is it right now? It would be later in the day. It would be later in the day. Y'all got here kind of at the end of the day of travel. Okay, yes, I can remember that. So you'd be able to rest after this. I do insist you stay the night. We'll assess what is left of our stocks and What do you need? I don't think he told us. He just asked for help and I said we need to sleep. He'll say yes all the time. I got a lot for running the clock. The first time they were like, we finally, you can have stuff now. That was me who like two levels ago, level three was my big level. I was spellcasting and main camp. Up until this point they hadn't even been giving me a spell slot a level and then they were like okay so you get another level one, you get two level twos, we're gonna give you a level two one for free, you get extra attack. I was like, hold on. I'm alive. Hold on. So, he is going to say Because you helped us rid these evils, I will trust you with the knowledge of our vineyard. So the land in Barofia isn't on its own fertile enough to bear the seeds of these grapes that feed the land. Although we have been gifted with three magical seeds that were once planted in the ground allowing us to grow even more potent than what we're currently capable of. And by seeds, that's just a loose term, but they are glowing green gems roughly the size and shape of pine cones. They were planted in the ground. I know of the location of two of them. I do not know their area, but if you would help us get at least one or two, we would be able to continue to grow wine. As we are now, even if we do take the vineyard back fully, we'd be at a loss. Those evil druids continue to prey on us and force us out of our homes. And now you will see it is him It is him, his eldest son, his youngest son, his adult daughter, and then his daughter's husband. And there's also at least one, two, six children in the family. So multiple individuals will shapeshift from ravens and then appear before you. Make sure I heard it all while I was writing everything. They need us to help them find some of these magical seeds so they can keep growing wine? I know of two of them. And they know where two? How many do you need? I don't know where the third is. So you need all three? Well, if you help us find at least one, we can make the least quality wine. If you help us find two, we can make both the least and the... Second highest quality. At one point or another, we could make all three varieties. But at least having two, we could make-- as you've probably tasted in your time in Europe. So one would be like, we can now make wine. Two would be like, this is good wine. Three would be like, our wine is the best ever. Exactly. Exactly. But alas. One I know is in the ruins of a city called Berez. B-E-R-E-Z. And the other is right down the road, stolen by a few of those druids you're probably acquainted with now, at a place called Yesterhill. Cool, we're going to go there anyway. Yeah. I don't know what's going on there, but I fear the worst. They don't. They don't. Not a whole lot of things do though. I do. Fire's pretty cool. Fair. Fair. I have some good fire stuff I can use against these guys. I think we can put them all out. I don't, but you know, Ray, that's like holy fire. You know? So one of them was in ruins, right? Yeah, Perez is like city ruins. That could also relate with card two. You'll find what you seek in the castle amid the ruins of a place of supplication. Is there a castle in Perez? Do you guys know what supplication means? What what means? Supplication. Supplication? At one point in time I did. I don't off the top of my head. It's the act of humbly, earnestly, and respectfully petitioning for something, often in the form of prayer to a higher power or a direct appeal to someone in a position of authority. Yes. Church. Here is my church and here is my steeple. Think of a church in a castle because the wording on that is fucking cryptic. Well, it said a holy place too, so it kind of gave us that. Exactly. And it did say castle, so... Ravenloft seemed the most likely, but... You don't want to go to the castle, Ravenloft? Not yet. You will find out later, actually, but... Strahd's too sexy. You can't... I gotta work on my five fish-ups before we have a period. Anything else you want to ask him? Any other things you want to discuss before you guys turn into the night? They will feed you all so you will be well fed. I would like to show him the half staff that I have and ask him if he has any information on it. Go take it. He's like, huh? I suppose it does seem rather old. You should find the top to it. Can't tell you too much about it. What do you want to believe? Have you seen the sigil that's on it? That is undoubtedly the sigil of the Bonzarvich family. Although the Raven's not white. Ravens usually black. It's like usually all black are gay. But that is the crest of strife. I'm guessing it's to the left where I was saying I wonder what's that direction? Do they have any maps of the area that go beyond what we've seen so far? In the large map? Yeah. This is the full world map. This is the entire lands encompassed by the fog. So, Barrez should be on here. I wasn't seeing it, or I did remember seeing it. That's why I was asking because I don't remember. And does he point on the map where the druids have sold it? pinecone looking grape seed wine making magic stuff is so yesterhill is right here which it's probably not okay that's where i was pointing at earlier where i was like no wonder what's over there yeah that's close to the vineyard so i'm sure we They know more about it. We can ask them more about that one. More details about what's actually over there. Because didn't we just get that there was like a hill on it or a tree on the hill or something? That's it. Yeah, like a giant tree on a hill. But now we know that there's also druids over there. The staff that Jables broke, is it possible to restore it? Could it be used by another Druid? The ruins of Berez are right here. That was an item called a good old bias staff, which is made from the branches of a mythic tree called the good old bias tree. You would kind of know a little bit about it from the legend. It's like a tree that grows. That's once per year growing either a fruit that heals any ailment in one creature back to full health or a fruit in the winter that kills you instantly pretty much. But it's kind of like an evil entity that appears in different places. But once you break that item, you essentially just made it a nerd. Sick. So, you'd have to find another branch of the Goliath tree. It's evil anyway. It is. It is. That doesn't matter to me. If it's evil and it was in my hands, it had to go. There's a chance every time you utilize the skill of the Goliath staff that you succumb to a form of madness. Um... You see how many cool plant things he's found? You would be one of them so fast. I'd be fucking smiting you. I'd be smiting. Yeah, true. That is an important fact. Probably take the fruit from the winter and plant it. To make orchards. You shouldn't be telling me that. You know how many staffs I could have? I'm just, you know... There's no need to filter it. It just happens. It just happens! Okay... Anyway, any other questions? Is it like full moons? Does that do it too? Why do they call you wizards? Because of the magical Gems that we use to make our own wine. It's still an answer to do I have to worry on a full moon or are you like... No. It's full control all the time. Yeah. That's pretty sick. That's pretty sick to me. You know, it comes to the territory of life in a variety of subjects, but sometimes it doesn't. What was your question? Why do they call you wizards? Oh, we're just the wizards of what? Because we make magical wine. You mentioned gems and now I want to see gems. Thank God! That's different from the other things that we're looking for, yeah? No, it's the same thing. Okay. He called them seeds, and then he described them as pinecone-shaped green gems. Gotcha. Sorry, yeah. How many druids are at Yesterhill that you're aware of? What did our card say about where the Ravens miss? I can read my own hand.

  • CNS of Ravens, there you will find the prize. This will help the party understand their enemy.

Well. I know of at least, sorry, four Druids. You want to ask about that? I was going to see if they could spare any people to help us out with the mission of recovering things. We can do that after getting more info. Well, I figure if they're going to give us a prize, it's going to be after this anyway. Okay. I mean, I can ask my question first. Go for it. Would you be able to spare any allies for us in the journey for recovering your gems? Unfortunately not, because we can barely keep a handle on our own. When you have your seeds back, will that help you? Somewhat. Somewhat. Somewhat. Don't see if you killed those motherfuckers. That's what I was about to say about that. You guys ever fuck with the Vistani? You guys fuck with the Vistani? You don't like the Vistani? What's the thing? Did you carry on? They were dressed in gypsy. Well, I mean, I didn't say gypsy. What do you think about their fortune telling abilities? You ever heard about it? You ever fucked with that? You ever heard of that? You speak with Madame Ava. I hear she is quite accurate. Quite accurate you say? She did tell us that if we found a nest of ravens there we might find our prize and understand our true enemy. I don't know if that What are you ringing about? I do believe my son would be the one. Do you want to grant you the treasure that you seek? Thank you. Which is the one that sent us here. Yes. Yeah. That's it. It's just a quick adventure in and out. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. I'm going to sleep. Any other questions? Yeah, I've been trying to think of anything. I don't have any more. I'm good. I'm good for sleep. So that means 10 pounds of air? If you full rest, you should be back to full everything. And then I don't know if Iridal gave a speech when y'all woke up. Well, we haven't gotten there yet. I haven't fully gone to sleep yet. I'm going to sleep now. Yeah, all right, so I haven't quite gone to sleep yet either because the way I read it for my fine steed is this thing just lasts until it dies or I change what it is slash unsung. What? My divine steed. My fine steed. The spell Find Steed should specify a duration. I'm not sure if it'll be like Find Familiar. Duration is instantaneous. And then it doesn't say after that. It says for disappearance of Steed, it disappears if it drops to zero, if I dismiss it as a bonus action, or if I die. Okay. Then that's it. And then if I cast the spell, I can decide whether I summon the steed that disappeared or a different one. What is a proficiency in herbalism? When you use the herbalism... There's not... Proficiency with the herbalism kit. What does that mean? Oh. So if you have an herbalism kit on you, do you want to try to harvest something or determine whether or not a certain plant is good at something? Do you believe the herbalism kit... The celestial steed is anything else happening? - Okay. - Y'all go to sleep, wake up. You know, they're all hanging out. They will serve you breakfast.

  • I'll give a passionate speech. - You say as it smells like breakfast right now.

I'm gonna play a song about beating the shit out of some needle dicks, having these badass were-ravens show up, and then we're gonna define the crystal seeds. It's a rock ballad in the morning. I assume you would go straight down to Yesterhill, right? I mean, I assume that's where we would end up. It's the closest one. Yeah, no reason to do anything else next. My question is, is Mark and Ivan just tagging along for everything now? What's their reaction to all of this at this point? What's their reaction to seeing the were-ravens, too? We kind of glossed over that. You know, at that point or another, I think they were more, they were okay with it because they were contemplating certain death. Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. That's a little I remember, yeah. So I mean, you know, they're taking it based on, yeah. Yeah, just remembering that they had been kind of racist before. It was really nice to have the ravens show up. Just remembering that and thinking about that again. You would know. I mean, I'm just a human. I've seen, you know, I've got human privilege. You're a racist. Oh my fucking God. It was just a little bit of racism. Yeah, just thinking about that again and being like, are they handling these were-ravens? They seem, again, I guess they seem to be... I mean, they didn't bat an eye when they found out I was half vampire, so... That's true. I guess the more human you look, the easier it is... Did you take your 8 temp help? It's still 8, isn't it? It is. Oh, is it level plus? It would be 9. Hold on, let me double check. Let me double check. I know it goes away on long rest, but if you're making the speech or everything... Uh, increase your real estate, your bolstering performance, you short or long rest, you can give an inspiring speech, uh, up to six hours. So both of the other dudes get it too. Would you want them to come with you guys? They would ask him like, well, we can stay here. Why don't you go down to your trailer? I mean, you know, weren't they saying that they were having fun? Trouble holding it down here on their own. They could probably use an extra hand to help put things back together. But we could also... They did pretty good in that battle. You say, yeah, they did pretty good in the battle, so... Your character's level plus the modifier. So it's nine. It's nine now? Okay. They feel pretty inspired, I imagine. They just got an impassioned speech and made them very healthy. They got a beautiful song, a ballad. They are impressed. They are impressed. You must be new to Borovia. No, we've been here about a minute. perception. Yeah. So do we want to call it here? It is 1014. Yeah. Making quite a few pancakes, if anyone likes pancakes. Now, while I eat all these pancakes, they're protein pancakes. What is a protein pancake exactly? It's still pancake?
